However I think the majority of people will view your post the same as I did.
People don't all come on here to post pics just for people to gawp over. They do it with the hope of attracting like minded people for friendship or more.

I think it's more a case really of adopting a more subtle approach (ie doing a little reading of posts to get the flavour of the site before posting) and not charging in through the front door and banging everyone in the face.
There are loads of very friendly folk here but there's a lot of good natured banter which you need to be prepared for. I guess if it offends anyone's sensibilities then they're in the wrong place.
That said, genuine people come across as genuine, and wankers come across as wankers. I hasten to add that I'm not suggesting for a minute that anyone who's a wanker has written or added to this post (except me!!).
Hey! This is a fun place :happy: but I'd say to anyone, don't stick your head above the parapet and post if you aren't prepared to suffer the consequences. It takes time to get to know people in the forum so you have to tread gently 'cos there's a whole world out there populated with every kind of person.

I was not trying to be unfriendly - it was my objective view of the authors post.
If it was a 'Hi - I'm new' post rather than a 'where can I get free pics' post you would have seen a totally different reply from me - and I am ALWAYS prepared to help if needed. In fact - see my reply to another newcomer in the 'Fresh Face' thread.

Smithmeister's PM to me asking for an invite to my party was just as clumbsy and ill considered as his post here, and seeing as there are several posts on the party thread saying that the list is full he obviously needs pictures cos his grip of English is none too clever . Anyways, my initial judgement of this character is erring towards the latter category.
