Hi
Why is it that webcams seem to posess the same qualities that the old-fashioned photo booths used to, (and maybe even the current ones still do) namely making people look terrible.
No matter how good somebody looks, photo-booths seem to make people look, well, weird!
Myself and my better half often chat on webcam and while she usually looks fine, I seem to appear 20 years older than I am! Don't get me wrong, I'm no oil painting, but I'm sure I'm not as bad as the webcam makes me appear! webcams seem to present you in the least flattering way!
Has anybody else noticed this phenomenon?
Also, I thought that my new fangled broadband connection would give me real moving webcam video, but I have since discovered that there is a slow upload speed and fast download speed.
This means that although video can be received at high speeds, the sender can only upload at their slow upload speed so both ends of the webcam chat suffer this slow speed.
maybe you do look 20 years older in real life and not as good as your better half does .
rolleyes
I hate showing myself i just pull stupid daft faces lol lol but i like watching mmmmmm
I love webcam. It hides all my flaws and softens the wrinkles. :lol2:
Just ordered the all new singing and dancing webcam with sound and zoom and remote-control.
Let the games begin!

Yeah. I think it depends on the quality of the cam (mine's cheap, as with everything in my life wink ) and the light at the time.
Face shots of me on a webcam look not good confused
It is due to the resolution of the video. When the pic is very small it looks fine. As soon as it is enlarged it looses quality. In my opinion one of the best is at present. The picture quality is very good comapred with msm and .
We use out digital camera as a webcam and the quality is very good as it 3 millions pixels rather then just a standard webcam.
It depends on several factors, the time of day and ambient light has a tremendous impact on the image . At night I find it flatters as it softens the focus and flattens one or two excess laughter lines.
Of course that may be the two hours of make I apply before camming....(only kidding  )
I find I have to reset it quite often too as the focus tends to drift out over time ...factory default restore does it for me also find the background wall paper colours on the pc can affect the colour your cam portarays you on the screen (reflected colour).
I dunno what you are all talking about!
I personally look fantastic on web cam but pretty crap in real life! :P
well, i Suppose it all depends on the light :P
but mine only comes out occasionally :P  so doesn't matter
