Came across this today, and initially thought they were talking about foreign nationals...... but the law is for wee green man from outer space............ :borg:
Magistrates are legally able to use 'reasonable force' to turn back an alien invasion of the UK

What daft bureaucratical moments have made you realise those in power are daft at times?
feck that i'm here and staying so they can kiss me pucker green ass
Never mind the little green men, who would want to keep a whale, has anyone else ever smelt a washed up one on the beach?

I think a few of the 'ladies' on this site need to take heed of question 7. wink
7. In the UK, scolding was outlawed in 1585. What did this mean women could no longer do?
Answer: Cause a nuisance with abusive or argumentative language

innocent bolt

Damn, I hate to spoil a good story (and this is a good story) but I have now read The Outer Space Act 1986 (yes I know I should get out more) as I really wanted to see how they had worded this and it clearly states the following:
2.-(1) This Act applies to United Kingdom nationals, Scottish firms,
and bodies incorporated under the law of any part of the United Kingdom.
So unless the aliens are Brits (I know, I know. But that is a different discussion) they don't need a licence.
Shame really, I was hoping to apply for one on their behalf just to see what response I got.
me cool been an Irish national lol come see me i will push the button
