Well, just made my first visit to the chatroom. With a very few exceptions, most of the occupants demonstrated how I'd feel if I was invisible!
Is it always so clicky or have I just picked a busy but bad day??

prob not ur fault ive been told by the more experienced on this site practice makes perfect and you get out what you put in so i think just alot of effort is required to get you started and then see how it goes! im gonna go for that tactic now and just get to be known!

You have just reminded me that I have not been in there for ages!
Cliquey would be the wrong word to describe it. Some people log in to the chatroom to chat with people they already know, they have no intention of chatting to other people. They do have a right to use the chatroom like that if they wish, although doing that in the open forum rather than private messages does make it difficult for people trying to meet others for the first time though.
The answer is to perservere until you start chatting to someone in the same situation as yourself - then you end up forming your own clique!
