We're hoping to host our first party at home next month, we feel like we've got most decisions made just need advice on wether it's best to set a finish time or to let things end when they end?
Also be very grateful for any tips or common mistakes for first timers?

We're organising our first party, some advice please?
Not hosted a Swingers parties, but have been to some private swingers parties of which some were small 3 or 4 couples to the larger numbers 20+ couples and a few single females/males..always at private residences and all were real good fun.
I guess the time to stop would depend on to individual hosts own preference and whether or not guests were staying over etc etc. Keeping things flexible but with a rough guide given would be my way of doing things.
Tips? Keep a bowl of condoms accessible/handy to the guests (of course people should bring/provide their own but doesn't hurt to have some, same with wipes I'd have thought.
One thing I would be absolutely clear about is the no go areas in your home, children's bedrooms if applicable would be an absolute no no (sure you'll have dispensed with the children for the evening) don't visit their rooms, don't go in them, don't open their door, it's their space even when they're not there.
Any areas where neighbours (if you have them)or passers by could see in/view to be kept as a vanilla area.
Anything valuable should be kept away/safe, you'd like to think you could trust all your guests but you just don't know so simply remove temptation.
Less rules is good,plenty of smiles. nice chilled atmosphere, background music, ambient lighting, and a drink chucked in your guests hand as soon as they arrive,

We've held about 40 or so parties here over the years, so our top tips are:-
1 Make the neighbours aware that you will be holding a party. You don't need to tell them what type but the courtesy of informing them makes them less likely to be knocking on your door in the wee hours asking for the music to be turned down.

Accidents do happen and the mother-in-laws favourite nic-nak pressie suddenly disappearing can lead to some awkward questions later.
5 Restrict the 1st party invite list to those that you know or can be vouched for by someone you know. 20 'strangers' turning up is a sure fired recipe for a disaster.
6 If you decide to hold more parties, add a few 'new faces' at each one. This keeps it 'fresh' and they are more easily integrated.
7 Parties tend to just 'fizzle' out. You can set a time limit, but enforcing it can be difficult. Your own best judgement is the best guide as to when it's time to call a halt. Then start cleaning things away this gives most the 'hint' it's about time to make a move.
8 At a first party people will be reticent to be the first to make a move, if it looks like the party is flagging have a few 'adult party games' ready to use ( pass the ice cube, blow-up the condom etc).
