Hi , kinda new here and was wondering what the response rate is like . I'm not bitching and i know a single guy like me is way out-numbered for the number of girls , but even what i thought was a nicely worded advert and reply's to some of the ladies here doesnt even get a reply even with pics and an introduction about me. I dont expect tons of girls to beg me to visit them ( especially now i added pics LOL ) but a simple ' no thanks ' wouldn't hurt now..... would it ?

As to your question, I doubt the answer can be found anywhere, the majority of people who post and reply to ads never join the forums.
However, you are right, when you reply to ads, it would be nice to at least get a "thanks, but no thanks". We do get a lot of comments such as that.
The only thing I can say is, if you reply to ads from people who are forum members, you will always get a reply, cos they are that kind of people.
I just tried to look at your ad (38232?) and couldn't find it, is that the right number, or has Jags been helping you with that too?? (sorry jags

You can put a link to you ad in your signature, so that it appears on each of your postings, makes it easier for people to find it. Look for the sticky at the top of "lets meet up"

Good question and one that has been brought up before. Of course single guys get less response than women do, as there are so many more guys looking to score. A single woman might get in excess of 100 replies to every ad she places, and although a simple "no thanks" would be polite, it isn't always possible to reply to every single ad. Couples probably get less response than single women, but still get considerably more than single guys. Single guys obviously increase their chances if they are not just looking for females (be bi - my answer to everything 
), as there are plenty of gay/bi men looking to hook up on this site too.
However, if you are a single guy, adamant that you're straight (
:wink: ) and you are just after women or couples, you can increase your chances by always being polite, honest, and perhaps even by getting to know a few folks on the forum who can put a good word in for you :wink: . There are other factors involved too of course, but keep looking - seek and ye shall find, as they say :P

have to agree with blue, we always try to repond with the "thanks but no thanks" if we are not interested, but sometimes there isn't time, it gets left and then forgotten, deleted to free up mail space etc.
It's just that single women and cpls get loads of responses from single guys, you have to stand out immediately. As was said before, cock shots don't exactly excite, a well composed, clear facial pic attached to mail always generates more interest for us. Don't be afraid of posting such pics, the vast majority of people on here will delete them promptly, your privacy intact..lol.
The ones we deliberately don't reply to are those who haven't read our ad properly, are crass or bulk mailings that aren't personal to us, you know the type that some guys send to everyone almost like a spam!
Be patient, be honest, be you and enjoy this site and you will get lucky!

ive tried the direct approach, definitely doesnt work, now im just being myself, being very patient, still not much luck.

Would an auto reply function be useful here?
Whenever you get a reply from your hundreds of admirers an email can be sent back stating that you are very busy so if you don't get another email we have found somebody already. Or something along them lines.
The males will understand (Hopefully) and will not get agitated over a lack of a response. The lucky few dozen that you do like can be emailed as normal.
However this also has its draw backs. Especially if you do not want to let people know your email address already. The Confidential type of adds could set up there own to be delievered from the webserver, one that can not be replied too.
Just an idea. Take it to bits if you think it is something that couldn't work.
