I hate threads like this, I always end up spending hours on google trying to find a proper answer and miss all the fun mad

Well, this was no exception. rolleyes

And I eventually found a genealogy site, with a sort of basement area about names of places and things. It's not very complimentary and has some hilarious parodies of national characteristics. rotflmao

England has a short but vivid description of the raids of vikings, Saxons, Jutes, Angles, Romans, and just about every other tribe in Europe, and is described as being seen by other European as the easy place across the water where you could wander in, rip them off, then bugger off with the goodies! i.e. a bunch of gullible bastards! There is even a test to see if you fit your national profile! Try it and see if you are English! cool
