Well lol
i joined the site about 3 years a go so far as putting a add up, then in the middle of last year i realised they had a chat room confused so went for a nose was told about the forum and join in november but to be honest never really started haveing a real look round the forum till a few months ago and i have loved it i now spend more time in here than the chat room tho i do still like to go in for a natter biggrin
confused This is not exactly what you are getting at x-man
But the way I have always looked at it is: the biggest disasters usually occur when people arrive on the site expecting one thing, and finding something very different. What often happens next, is that they feel it is a personal affront to them, that they are being rejected, when really, they are just a square peg in a round hole.
So, instead of buggering off to find a square hole, they hang around here trying to make this round hole square.
Then they wonder why all the round pegs get upset at them, and chase them off. So they start moaning about how unfair it is to pick on the square pegs like that.
When really, it is just that we like round holes, and want to keep it that way.
So my advice to newbies is: Be realistic about your expectations.

Oh? Now, I thought it was a nice friendly question, too.

Aaaah, right.
My round hole is quite adaptable.
yes they have a chat room but you might like the chances of getting into fort knox better
just remamber we were all newbies at one point!
but some of use manged to get by................ tis hard at first!....... and i joined when there where only about 50 that signed in on a day!
so being a newbie now must feel like being a fish out of water ..........and not noing really how to go about things!.......by getting noticed!
so really i feel sorry for them!........... tis difficult for them ...come on give them a chance!!
It takes time to no what the site is about for some peeps!..there is a lot of back ground that we cannot see thats going on in there own environment!
like me dyslaxer............. its very hard to get across some times ....as you see in my early posts and i think i was just lucky because i was a women as they do get a little more attention and space!

hi all as i am very new i think the forum is a good idea it gives me chance to talk to more experianced members without feeling uncomfertable but it is wierd tryin to break into a group that allready know each other. (esp wheni have dyslexia word spell check v handy) so please give us a chance and forgiveus when we go wrong and maybe tell us what and how we went wrong. one idea may be for some of the more experianced members could set up a meet especially for newbies with a few old hands to give us some guidence thanks for reading.
As a newbie I would like to say that I enjoy this forum. I like reading what others say, think and do  as well as added my own little tit bits. I'm not yet a swinger and the wife doesn't yet know that I visit this site......but as they say, 'good things come to those who wait.'

debs gives big hug and say :welcome:
here you are babes click on this http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/swingers-forum/viewtopic/45014.html
and pm me any time ok  us dyslexias have to keep stick togather!
been on here a couple of months now and can't keep away. Yep, all mad as cabbage (but bloody luvley with it). it can be a bit daunting for us newbies to squeeze into some of the threads and personal banter but is that any different to RL?
I used to visit a few other sites but now i can't be arsed, much more fun here and where else would you get to see vix & debbiewebs avatars sillyhwoar:
Speaking as a newbie (two weeks or so) I think there's a number of people who's opinion I'd value and probably a couple who I wouldn't care much about - as in life in general, I suppose! No names, no pack drill - so Smoking... I'll say nothing unless I'm tortured... LOL <---Joke!
It's interesting to compare the adverts in the Photo Ads area with the people in here...I get the impression that most people in here don't have a current advert - and why should you; it's clearly better to get to know someone in the forums than in a simple one-line advert and I'm begining to realise there's more to this than I first thought.
On balance, I think you're friendly, open and honest and I look forward to being able to meet you in person.
Does that answer the question? Hope so. Would welcome a PM from anyone who wants to discuss it further
Been around and about the forum for a few days now and quite like what i see/hear.
biggrin
The only thing that worries me is posting mid-banter that goes on between people that know each other; small voice in a big room sort of syndrome (if you see what i mean!)
But apart from that, its all good peeps! cool
I had an add on here ages befor i started to post in the i still havent managed to get into the chatroom yet. but swinging heaven is the tops not only have i met a great fuck buddy i have also met some realy nice people in clubs and its not what you know its who you know worship
As newbie's ourselves it came with great relief that there are people out there with similar interests and we think it proves that really, its not what this sort of thing is often made out to be.
Personally ... I don't think it could have been better...
I love the forums .... it really gives me a chance to get a flavour of what the characters of people are like...
Also the chance to swap views and opinions with like minded people.
I'm sure I wouldn't find everyone as my 'cup of tea' ... but then that goes two ways also..
Never the less .... even people I wouldn't consider playing with sexually can be great to chat with.....
And as everyone seems so friendly and obliging........ What more could you want?
lol
Well as a complete newbie I am impressed.
peple are friendly and open and give good advice ... in the forum and the chatroom.
i am especially impressed with the enforced rules of the chat room as i have been PM a few times and it cam get annoying... but one warning and people stop or get kickedoff and that is good.
I would like to offer may special thnaks to babe1 for giving me some good advice and inviting me to the Yorkshire munch. Me and pauline are intending to have a Very good time.... redface .... getting to know all you swinging experts...
One thing i would like to see is a help sticky...
one for chat room /nick New-nickname to change nickname
/me to put a comment etc...
it would help the newbies get started
Also one for photo adds... how do you get a picture down to 20kbytes...?
Anyway looks great and we intend to take it slow at first buts watch out cos wer cumming.....

Well I'm a newbie and I love it!
Luckily for me I have a top mentor (and also a top sub mentor as back up) who have helped me a great deal and pointed me in the direction of the forum.
I don't think I've upset anyone but if I did I'd hope someone would tell me redface
Well im not exactly a newbie.... just not on here alot!!
I found it to be a fantastic place to be, and such a superb warm welcoming bunch of people biggrin
Not been on for a while due to lack of PC and net connection. But now I'm sorted I should imagine you'll be seeing more of me! (ok....maybe I should rephrase that bit.... :P )
This site is the biz! xx

As with everything in this life there's good and bad, here as anywhere else.
You pays yer money and you takes yer choice (only here you don't pay anything). :rascal:
Nice thread.
ES
PS If I don't welcome a newbie who's put up a good introduction it's only because it gets a bit tiring doing it as lots of people are posting intros nowadays. No offence to anyone intended. :P
