just curious, thought it might be a nice place to meet up instead of the usual pub or cafe and wanted to gauge opinion
could be interesting to do the whole 'Bond' thing at the casino, but of course the lady would have to be the lucky charm and produce BIG winnings!! biggrin
funny you should say that, I wore a DJ to the casino the other day, and felt very "bondish"
but seriously, my local one is very relaxed, and it's easy to talk in there with the added benefit of something else to do if you change your mind about going further biggrin
I love them - especially in Vegas.
I wouldn't want one next to my house though - Oh the temptation! lol
no, there should be a good walk for when you lose. time to think...although when I win I get the taxi biggrin
I assume people all know you don't have to spend much gambling? I only spent £20 last time including drinks! although to be fair I still came out with more than I had when I went in wink
I never win at the bingo never mind a bloody casino! rolleyes

have you tried? roulette can be 50:50 odds you know, so you're bound to win half the time! better odds than finding someone here in fact biggrin
What 50:50, bound to win. How does that work?
You can still loose with odds in your favour never mind evens.
red or black, odd or even. there is a green 0 which means you get 50% of the stake back so it's not a perfect 50:50 but at 50p a go £5 can last all night, and the bunny girls brink the drinks...soft drinks are free...great place!
I don't think of casinos like others. ie, somewhere to gamble and lose all your money.
I think of them as a place to get a drink and something to eat when all pubs and kebab shops are shut
Don't think i have ever seen a roulette wheel in one yet, always to pissed by the time i reach one.

Personally I would not want to go to a casino for a first meeting. Although it might not be your intention to spend lots of money, if someone said that to me I would be suspisious that she would want me to go spending lots of money on her there and that would put me off..... but maybe I'm just paranoid lol. Thats my view anyway.
Probably a bit too noisy and busy for a first meet.
I have had some good nights in the casino, but dont really think they're places where you have a decent conversation.
Having said that, it'd probably be a great place for future nights out.

my local one isn't noisy at all! especially compared to even the quietest of pubs in the area. not too busy either biggrin
The only time we were in a casino, Alicia just happened to be wearing her shortest skirt. We were initially at separate tables. When I went to see how she was doing there was an audience of lucky guys behind her, enjoying not only her stocking tops, but her thong as well, every time she bent over the roulette table to place her bet.
Lovely!

I worked in a casino for many years and the sights, especially at christmas time, were a great moral lift and if a pretty female was showing a little more than she thought she was the word soon spread around the staff and everyone cheered up no end.
On is it the place for a first meeting, the one I worked at had the same visitors day after day who were only interested in gambling so the bar area was always quiet during the week but was hectic at the weekend. So for a midweek meeting I am sure it wouild be ok and should have a relaxed atmosphere and considering that meeting a new couple is a gamble it would be an appropriate starting place.

the majority of casinos you have to join at least 24 hours in advance so you cant just turn up and expect to walk in .
plus secondly theres a new gaming law which has come into use in 2004 that states that all members guests need to have proper id on them to gain acess plus as a member you are limited to how many guests you can sign in .
apart from that little hurdle it seems a good idea i'll see you at the 3 card poker table
no pun intended there !!

I'm already a member of the local ones so I can sign people in. I've never seen the bar area that busy, and the roulette is quiet enough to get a game but not too quiet. I can sign 3 people in, and ID can be a credit card so not much issues there. also there is private parking too lol
