for me it has to be finishing something that i have found particularly hard to do.
doing something that makes someone else happy.
listening to the rain on the window when i'm in bed.
growing my own veg and flowers.
remembering to do something i was sure i would forget...
that sort of stuff

Good conversation, a great book, cooking a fab meal and sharing it with friends or family, great company, listening to quality music - especially performed live, learning new things, doing my job well, seeing my family and friends do well, achieving personal goals... loads of things make me satisfied.

A damn good book. The chance to sit and read a book so well written that you lose yourself in the plot and charactors. A book that every now and then you have to put down and consider what is going on, whether it is a mystery to be solved or the shear emotional content.
