So, what does everybody think about the chatroom? I never used to go in there, and then I recently ventured in there a couple of days ago and now I'm hooked.....
I'm not using it to meet up with people, I just like chatting and chilling out with people (plus, it helps me to procrastinate and put off working and studying).....
I was just wondering what everybody else thinks?

Single most frustrating thing I have ever discovered. First I just waltz right in no problem thinking what are all these people going on about having problems getting in. Since then I have only managed to get in once and failed about 20 times. I know I'm doing something wrong and I have read all of the stuff about what to do but I just can't seem to do it. Drives me insane.
Once I did get it - it hurt my head :shock: all those flashing lights - mental it was mental.
I would need some sort of pracitce area before you jump into the main room. Maybe some sort of L plates.

I discovered the chatroom about a month or so ago. At first I was totally confused, but it doesn't take long to get the hang of it. You soon learn how to follow and join in the conversations that are worth watching and ignore the trollers and crows 
Treat it like going into your local pub and you'll have fun.
Since then I've been unable to do any washing, cleaning, cooking or walking the dog and I'm down to 4.5 hours sleep per night. I've got fired from my job for never being there. My garden's a jungle, my bank manager's on my case and my family & friends are pissing and moaning that they never see or hear from me any more. But I still can't stay away.
But hey, I've been having a blast and I've spent alot of time shamelessly tarting with some really great people. And I'm really looking forward to meeting some of them this weekend at Funin's.
The only downside I find is the way I get unwanted pvts from single males who clearly think Lucifer means "Lucy's up for it". :lol:
Thanks to the mods on there for the job they do. Without enforcement of the rules it'd be absolute chaos and all the genuine people wouldn't return.........

Trouble with that is, if someone asks you for a PM (for those who don't know, asking before PMing is required netiquette and strictly enforced by the Ops when they receive complaints) you might miss it if everything's scrolling by at the speed of light. Two possible suggestions to overcome that:
1. Have a standardized way to indicate that you are available for PMs, maybe just stick ..._PM on the end of your nick, something like that.
2. Use a chat client such as mIRC that can be set to actively alert you whenever your name is mentioned.
