I think it will remain borked for you  but you must be technical enough to sort yourself out on that one.

OMG

Nothing even vaguely relevant to add, but that avatar is ace!

At risk of sounding like someone who "just needs to get used to it"- I've only had five minutes but the the thing that strikes me is the colours/font in the forum- vile. Horrible to read for me, and I have 6/6 vision.

dont like it. its harsh on the eyes. but liek everything else thrust upon us we will get used to it.

Have you tried changing the colour scheme using the little coloured blobs at the top left of each page?

!!! I really hate the ad searching !!!
I find it almost unusable ...
I would like to do something like look for ads from woman or couples, looking for single males or groups with 35 miles of my location. Was so easy to do on the old system .
Very very very frustrated!!

It's fairly easy:
Change the "Only show members within" to 30 or 40 miles, then go straight to the bottom panel (Advanced filters). Select "Search in Ads", choose your favourite 3 Advert Catagories, and click Search.
When the search results come up, put a search nickname in the "Save as" box, select when you want to be updated, and save it. Next time you search you can go straight to your Saved Searches or, if you selected an update interval, get a PM when someone new joins and matches your search.

Glad to be of some help smile and I do agree would be nice to have a toogle option, so you can go to old or new site..

If you go to your address bar and overtype the "www" with "new" and vice versa you'll be switched between the sites.
e.g. Change:
www.swingingheaven.co.uk
to:
new.swingingheaven.co.uk
You'll have to log into each one once but after that you should be able to switch at will.

Check your pics....my public album had a face pic on as the album cover.........not happy about that at all mad

Quote by MadMax
You can see your own private pictures, they are not visable to anyone else biggrin

it was my PUBLIC album, not the private one and I checked via someone else that my face pic was visable.
SH obviously decided on the album cover!
Check to see if other member has an permenant invite to view your photos - if so, that is how they will see depending on what pic is what order.
will there be more women on it............

Thats an odd one we tested it in all major browsers on PC and Mac, what browser and set up do you have?. Need to get you sorted before the lights get turned out wink
Could be a funny service pack of IE6

love love love your avatar sorry to go off topic lol
getting hang of it surprisingly quickly so not so bad after all i guess
The colours are to bright for me  hurts my eyes other than that I like it
well this morning, still can't log into the newswingingheaven......
when we tried yesterday the page that came up said that we had been re-dirceted and to try again...
now it sends us to here....http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/signup.html
any ideas?.......thanks
It is very hard in the forums to see the difference in the quotes, the old style the quoted boxes were outlined in black making it easier to see who said what. The new style is white and it all blends together.
Could something be done about this please?

I think I remember being told that the techies took the most commen size of screen and went with that rather than using resources to change the size confused

But, but, it's 2009 and Dawnie! There's people out there with widescreen monitors on their laptops 2000 pixels wide! The forum will look about >>>>>>>> this big <<<<<<<<. Still, glad they didn't go the whole hog and make it 800x600. lol ;)
In edit: The size tag doesn't seem to be working work up there?
Does anyone else see an image from their private gallery apparently showing as their avatar alongside their post when they're in post preview mode? :?
N x x x ;)

N x x x ;)

Testing SIZE button
And I don't get my avatar or a photo in the preview... I just get a little camera thing but then I don't have any pics on this username.
EDIT: Size doesn't work for me either.

I did, but deleted it from showing there but still remains in priavte, can't remember how I did it now :?
As no way did I want that picture showing as my avatar redface
i was only able to look at little bit of sh via the new look but wasnt that impressed to be honest
i have a large screen laptop and therefore it looked silly with lots of wasted space at the side
didnt look modern or oldfashioned or anything much at all so not sure why its being altered but im sure there are technical reasons
wasnt able to post via the new look tho ?
was a bit confusing to, wasnt abvious where everything was but supose il get used to it if i have too sad
we had already took our photos off when we knew there was gonna be a new look cus last time when stuff was changed some private pics ended up public which is not good !!!
We like the new layout, however the homepage makes things a little too accessable. Now I dont mean the one you see after you have logged in, I mean the screen you see prior to that. It shows the latest forum entries which quite often features a lets meet up post and shows all the details of that meet if clicked on - even if not logged in. This makes private meets available for intrusion from non-members/press - pehaps some sort of filter can be applied that masks some of the post or only allows non-members to see the post headline and not who has posted and the whole thread?
Also your avatars are an full public display too, photo adds pictures can be seen in thumbnail form via the home screen but cock, and pussy pics (for want of better words) are :censored: yet they are not in the gallery which is also accessable... I dont understand why one is and not the other. If the censoring is to protect children who stumble accross the site they can just as easily click on gallery as they can photo ads... and gallery sounds so much more appealing.
Its not all negative about the gallery, new members can only filter the pics now, so can only see pics through the following options... males, females, couples and newest - and then they can only filter by most veiwed or recently added... so they are no longer able to pinpoint you down by distance to the nearest mile!
Sill a pity that all pics have to be private or public so they either have to be visable on your profile and in the gallery or visable by an invite only - but I believe there are additional features/options still to be rolled out - so hopefully this will soon change???
I think the avatar option should be easier to find and have it pointed out that this will be fully visable throughout the site and visable to the public at large so that people can change/make a more informed choice about which picture to use (take off their face pic for privacy if needed).
All in all though a very good look and much easier to navigate! Well done

No, there were no permanent invitations. One of my private pics had been used as an "album cover" for my public album......not very clever!
