It's a thoughtful, introspective day in THE CAFE today. Where a great deal of time is been spent examining what we like to post, read and our behaviour. I did consider tacking this onto another thread but that seemed a bit to much like hi-jacking so.............
Recently I had a black and white cartoon that I thought looked cool and mysterious cool

. After a while it just depressed me. sad

A regular member here changed their avatar at Christmas to a grumpy bear dressed as a fairy. I found I was reading their posts as if they were written by that bear and I seemed to add a grumpy tone to the words. mad

Does your avatar (yes that picture at the side there) effect the way you post?
Does it effect the way people read your posts?

I must admit the ones that move can be a bit distracting but otherwise I think they are just there for fun.
I like mine cause it makes me look glamorous lol

I'm not sure, perhaps people make an assumption about my sexuality because of the look of the picture of alex james (a straight man) drinking tea. Whereas they may just think i'm weird because i have a sock avatar!
