Nothing that makes bubbles in the bath, unless its doing a fanny fart
Nothing that gets squirted all over me in the shower, unless its fanny squirt
No novelty socks  unless they are being delivered worn by a naked lady
I dont want a cold, chest infection, or swine flu while on the festive break. You always seem to get this stuff when you are off over Christmas. wink
I dont want to have to go out on Christmas day visiting all sorts of people who cant be assed to do the same  so im not lol .
I don't want to get reindeer poo on my roof :smug:
I don't want anything. Nothing at all. I'm a pain to buy for. lol

I can remember the first time a female told me that and being young I believed her, how wrong I was. It was then I realised just how complicate the female of the species are.

I don`t want to have to drive around the fucking countryside on Christmas day picking up and dropping off aged relatives !!!
Think I`ve fixed it this year !!

We have fixed (very much huffed alot of people) this year because we have point blank refused to go anywhere, do anything or invite anyone specially, it was getting beyond a joke and after some rather jealous comments from family members I thought "stuff em"
We are making no plans
We aint visiting ANYONE
If you must visit do not expect fed unless you want christmas chocolates
Do not visit at dinner time on christmas day you aint invited for that part
I am not doing anything on boxing day either
This year is for US
and yes my mother didn't speak to me for 3 weeks following that little outburst lol

Yay !! :bounce: Well done ..
I lived abroad for a few years and never came back for Christmas but there was an open invitation for anybody to come to us . Funnily enough none of the family wanted to travel at Christmas !!!! They still got miffed at the fact that I didn`t want to travel either loon
I mean ...I had a choice ...
Take a couple of days driving back to England and spend Christmas rushing round visiting all the relatives who would get upset if they didn`t get a visit ...
Or ..
Stay in a fairy tale castle with a massive kitchen and huge open fire places and have all sorts of people turning up throughout the Christmas period bringing fantastic food and incredible alcohol and of course good company .........
Errmmmmmm ... as you can imagine ..it was a tricky decision......NOT !!
:giggle: I know what I would choose , I know what you mean about family wanting you to visit them but they are not willing to visit you, Last year I huffed brother and sister because I was not visiting christmas day, they live 1 hour away (we were doing a feasty type thing here on boxing day.. all invited) neither had kids or partners and they still were not willing to visit - ho hum I lost alot of sleep over that

Wish i had your guts,we spent our first christmas with just us and the kids last year and it was fab, back to the round of visits this year,i need wat ever u got lol

Trust me you don't want nor need it,
In fact I think if it had not been for catty comments from my family over certain things I would still be doing it

Perish the thought. wink
Every Christmas ex and I (pre-divorce) drove to his various bits of family all over East Yorkshire. We lived variously in N Yorks, Cheshire and Derbyshire. It was always us that travelled and even having had prior notice of when we were coming, one or other household didn't bother to be home.
One year we announced that we weren't travelling and they could come to us. The 'rich' side of the family complained it was a long way - funny that - it's the same distance for us too. And they would drive past our town on the way to Heathrow three times a year on holiday.
Funnily enough - that year we didn't get any visitors, nor any year since.
Thank God that is all over - since the split I don't have to buy all his family's presents, send the cards etc etc etc.
In answer to what Christmas is NOT - it isn't kow-towing to other people's ideas of what WE should be doing for THEM!

Crikey !!! All this rebellion
I`m beginning to feel like I`m sitting on the group W bench !!!

I am beginning to feel out of place here having come from a functional family where the only debate is who pulls the cracker with who lol
I dont want any blast from the past texts and I dont want other peoples unwanted presents from last year! Come on you must have had one of them in the past?? Whats worse is when you realise its a gift you had bought them 2 years before lol
Herpees! lol
