Try this page for a comprehensive list of abbreviations you may use or come across on this site ( I would also say other sites - but after SH, what other sites are there? lol  )

Got chatting to a woman once on a dating site and after chatting for a little time so told me she wouldn't take it any further and ended her message lol.
I thought cheeky mare she's in one breath trying to let me down gently and then trying to humiliate me. So i told her so!!!!!
Turns out in her head lol meant lots of love. Wish people would learn to use abbreviations correctly LOL biggrin
I always thought it was 'loads of love' - there we go - under yet another misapprehension. Forever learning on this site!
I always thought it meantLike Oral?Loveit!
Knew it was too good to be true. rolleyes
Which now begs the question....
Have I been to forward :haha:
Can someone fetch voddy from the chatroom to explain her version of ASL.... lol

We thought it stood for Lick Over Libra
Oooh, Bev.. whilst you're here. could you please answer me a question?
Reese and I felt totally embarrassed with ourserlves when we realised we had both forgotten the answer and decided you'd be the best one to ask. (Sorry)
What exactly is a split infinitive?

What exactly is a split infinitive?

An infinitive is the verb in its unchanged form, without any difference for he/she/they etcetera. So, infinitives might be 'to go' 'to run' 'to buy'
A split infinitive is when you put another word (commonly an adverb) between 'to' and the verb.
For example, 'to quickly go', 'to slowly run', 'to hurriedly buy'
Does that help? I'm assuming that you did want to know and aren't really taking the piss but I told you anyway lol

Not gonna take the piss 'cause we genuinely learned something here. Even dyslexics did. Thanks. I admit, I wouldn't have even known how to ask the question.
