I would have to say mine is: Shawshank redemption.
What is one of your favourite films?
I think they are both great films, but I really enjoy "Arthur"...it's a film that I can watch again and again, and, unlike other films I re-watch, I just let it run without pausing..have to see it right through as there is not one dull moment.
Showing my very limited mental capacity here, but my favourite film is definately the Full Monty. Ive seen it so many times, I laugh at what is going to happen before it happens.
For Mr NWC it would have to be Mrs Doubtfire  he has seen it so often, he even knows half of the script rolleyes
Swords fav film is "The Inn the of sixth happiness" starring Ingrid Bergman..
The endings great
Stileto likes the shawshank redemption....
Brilliant - but too huge to just pick one. I've had to restrict us to 4-5 each....and this is only the opinion tonight....it may change!
Kitty
Sound of Music
Best Little Whorehouse in Texas
Pretty Woman
The King and I
Forrest Gump....run Forrest, run
Harry - top of the fecking list ( yep, you can tell I'm not impressed )
The Fecking Forbidden Planet
The Thing ( both - but the original is best - according to nerd-boy b-movie loving Harry )

Village of the Damned

Us both
Great Escape
Gladiator
Alien
Saturday Night Fever
Crimson Tide ( best quote from a movie parody in the history of the universe 'Is the poop deck really what I think it is?'

Red Dragon
Hannibal
Oliver
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Little Shop of Horrors
Hairspray

Bladerunner - I saw when it first came out in 1982 and it blewn my mind.
Saw it again on the big screen in 1992 (directors cut) just as good.
Recently saw it (THe final Cut) at an IMAX screen and it was even better.
A timeless classic film with stunning non-CGI visuals.

Agree with you on that one!!
Plus love the Full Monty!
My all time favourite is "Miracle in Rome". A Mexican film. Only seen it once. That was in 1988. Spanish with English sub titles. The stunning ending has had a lasting impact on me to this day. I've tried to get it on dvd but it's not been produced for area 2. Anyone else here seen it?
Others are : Master and Commander
Hero (Wonderful Photography)
300
Lots of others. Too many to put down.
