with me it is a thing that i enjoy and the sex side too , and to find my bi side(not very much) i like make new friends too , i also like swinging as i know what i'm doing and sort of be friends 1st and are all swingers ans also joining a site , i feel safe in way x ...... i dont think i could go down town to a pub every night and meet a bloke or women , eg vanilla :shock: , but at least with the swinging u are all in in the same boat and all ok about it .......but is it ok to swing or not , i think it is ok , as least u are ok with it , and happy to play etc etc etc etc
i been swinging 6 yesars i love it , i wont go back being a vanilla cool

dont think anyone can, can they ?? it be all ways in my mind ,

1) For us it is because we feel we are just horny people and like to have shared horny adventures. We have rules (who doesn't?!) and the whole adventure turns us both on.
2) We started about six months after meeting and haven't stopped since. We go to a Club about once a month and have other little adventures as well

well in last few years ive chatted to alot of people and they all swung for different seasons but they had one thing in common something was lacking something in there lives so yes i guess it was boredom but there are also alot of people doing it for the wrong reasons which is a shame....

right have had a good think about this and wanted to come back to it after i had
what makes me swing:
for over 20 yrs i have been someones girlfriend, fiancee or wife, in the vanilla world and i found it impossible to be faithfull to those people, i am just not meant to be with one person alone, its not who i am and its not what i want.
swinging gives me the freedom to be who i am and do the things i want to do. I dont want someone in my life full time, but i do want company and sex, on my terms, (sorry if that sounds like i am up my own arse).
i have some people i see regularly, when it suits us both, we are friends with benefits. there are others i will play with when i need that 'omg i need a shag now' and will contact someone from the chat room for a one off.
the social scene is fantastic, i have made some fantastic friends, some of which will stay with me if i am on the scene or not, although i am not sure i could ever leave.
swinging give me the opportunity to explore my sexuality and my bi side, which one certain lady awoken :twisted: . i have found things i didnt even know existed and am sure there's lots more i still dont know about.
where else would i find all this, and in a safe environment as we look after our own.
thats why i swing.

I think most people swing so they can get out of their sex life what you can't in everyday life, even if your single you cant get the same in the 'vanilla' world, for instance how do go on the pull in the pub and say to the guy....actually can we take your m8 home too for a 3sum lol or of your bi how do you approch someone of the same sex without risking a bust nose? lol swinging is just a way of meeting like minded people where you can say what your after without offending anyone
Me personally have been swinging for about 5 and a half years now and altho its not got the thrill it once had i doubt i could go back to vanilla 24/7

funny really..untill 2 and ahalf years ago when i found this site....i thought swinging was throw keys in bowl etc etc.
when someone pushed me towards this site..god were my eyes open...and have never looked back. To be honest it suits me. I have a 12 year old daughter, who has been known to get jealous, so this way i get friends with extra's..... but without the big committment thing.
would i go back to vanilla...who knows...i am enjoying myself at the moment and so for me its a case of if it ain't broken..don't fix it...

I have tried to answer this post so many times now re-writing over and over again. Thinking of how we decided upon swinging caused both my wife and i immensse pain and personally self loathing. However we are so glad we did.
Swinging as in being called Swinging has been going since the second world war where U'S pilots asked each other that in the event of their deaths that their wives would be looked after by the surviving - including any 'physical' needs. Otherwise lets face it Swining probably started when mankind numbered three lol

The Queen would not be amused !!!

have to disagree rob, not really something lacking, just wanting to explore what else there is.
We've done just about everything 2 people can do in the 20+ yrs we've been together. we're swinging to expand that 2-person fun into more-person fun and different 2-person fun.
I don't think we lack anything in our relationship, just want to have some different fun.

We never had anything lacking in our relationship rolleyes

In fact just the opposite. We got to a stage after being together for 12 years that we had total trust, faith in each other. We had talked about swinging for a number of years before that because it was something that we wanted to try not because our life was boring. We had a great sex life before swinging and we continue to have it but its just a bit different now. So no, we never had anything lacking. Just a curiousity to try something we had never tried before.

We think you are wrong there Rob - a bit too much of a sweeping generalisation.
We certainly were not lacking in anything and still are not. We do like the fact that we can for the first time in a relationship be open and honest and sexy with each other and share all oour fantasies and experiences with our best friend.
We don't doubt that people drift into swinging looking for a solution to a problem but we very much doubt that the problem would be resolved through swinging. Going into swinging eyes wide open and holding the hand of your lover and best friend opens a world of sexy shared adventures that peeps in the vanilla world could only dream of.
We do it because we are sexual people and it is our hobby - we fucking love it :twisted:
