well am due me upgrade tomoro and have been lookin at the nokia 5800 just wondered any one been gettin a new phone and how do ya rate it , i had the n95 brill phone just the battery life let me down so looking to see what you have got and how you rate it.
Swear by Sony Ericsson here , Nokias are for people more concerned with ringtones than reception
i have the n95 with sat nav built in its fab but if u have the sat nav on without using the battery saver it then lasts for about an hour but with the battery saver can last for 4 hours on sat nav. just using to general chat and text it lasts about 24 hours and if no calls etc are made/recieved then can last 4 days .. sounds like a dodgy battery to me.
for my next upgrade i am considering the nokia 5800 or nokia e63

It's okay.
The only thing that is stopping me getting an iPhone is the fact that I get my broadband free with Orange, so until they do iPhone on Orange or I work out a reeeeeeally cheap broadband deal, then am stuck with what I have.
Samsung Tocco here. Once you get used to the touch screen its fab :thumbup:

I have a SE K750i - and could weep that it will need replacing soon. It has a really bright torch on it that I can't find on any other phone. It's saved my bacon many, many times!
You could have used that to escape
I had a Nokia N95....... tried to get a N96 out of orange for nowt, but they would not budge.... So ended up upgrading to the nokia N85.....
I have been really impressed by it so far..... and I use it like a 8GB Ipod as well, and if you are really smart you can use the BBC Iplayer on it... as a test I downloaded an episode of Hustle.... works brilliantly

love it, my battery last a good 24 hours and thats textng , talking a fair bit etc, in fact i think it last if fully charged for about 3 days and 24 hrs if ive been on the sat nav,music player,video recorder alot.
i love it. the camera is really good to.
dont like the iphone, it doesnt have a camera and few other issues with it re texts etc.

oh and have a fantastic signel with 3g on my nokia. i only ever have nokias.
A old nokia, it rings, I answer, someone speaks, just what a phone should do!
I have an HTC TyTn II, and also a Samsung G600, the Samsung is about to get replaced by a SE C905, I went from a SE to the Samsung on the strength of the spec, but the Samsung is horrible to use, the software it uses is poo.
I'm on a contract so every 12 months I upgrade to the latest phone, not that I can use them so I end up selling them :twisted:
I can only use my little simple pink VK 530, and when it dies I replace it with like for like for about 20 quid
I got a Nokia 6300- simple and easy to use. I prefer Nokia and not for the ring tones lol. I am due an upgrade and also looking at the 5800.

A cheap one with the biggest buttons I could find having once again washed and tumble dried my old one.
I do wish they would make mobiles with bigger buttons.
The battery life on it is crap and the keypad is loose so it clicks when I'm texting. Also the flip lid wobbles a little when it's closed.
