Need help deciding what to wear tonight.... options are:
1) Black ra-ra skirt with black sequin boob tube type top
2) Bright pink mini skirt with a more casual top
3) Black leather mini skirt with bustier style top
4) Black dress (one in my ad)
So what does everyone think?

Well the correct "procedure" is : Vist every shoe shop in your town, stopping for coffee,lunch, chat about anything but shoes, return to first shop you visited just before they close, buy the first pair of shoes you liked but hang on to that reciept because tommorow you will be returning them because they are not what you wanted.
Oooooo well yes ! but after reading this youll probably think i'm your mother! Anyways whatever you choose will be right for you and as I am the sort of bloke who is notoriously awkward to buy anything for, I can only share my motto which is " I don't know what I want, but I want it now and I won't be happy until I get it! "
The best advice I can give to buy/choose clothes is to think about 1/ co-ordination , with what you have already(that you like) 2/ style and the image, like how you want to portray yourself, and the sort of environment that your clothes are going to "fit in" with even if you are not actually going out 3/ Do you feel it is the real you, in other words in a " perfect" world (for you)would you feel comfotable going to work say in a mini skirt or maybe feel a bit tartish and opt for say long dress? What do you feel are your assets (no your bum probably won't look huge in that outfit!....) that you want to draw attention to , do you consider for example that your legs are a good point. So lastly 4/colour, apart from coordination are you the bold sort? if so bright and bold is for you or reseved maybe, consider tones shades, looking to impress? best to keep it simple and uniform with somthing like an accessory to contrast,
Oh and regards shoes whatever you do , choose a pair that is Practical ! as well as nice remember its you who's going to be wearing them !

Thanks Peenut.... some great advice there and I guess much of it applies to any item I decide to buy.
Style and image is an interesting point.... my style is what I like to term the "Girls Aloud" style (probably a better term for it).... but basically I like things to be very feminine and the sort of think you would wear out clubbing, tarty but still a little classy!

Ok if this is your entire wardrobe , I would suggest trying 3/ but with casual top and maybe mix and match with 1/ and 2/ option 4/ is possibly very nice but not variabe unless you have accessories to help get the look you want. lay it all out then go have a cofee ( no really!) because when you return You see with fresh eyes! (like when an artist stands back from their work for a moment ) and you may well then say oooh I like that combination......
