The original post from Davey1983 plus a subsequent reply from him certainly leads me to believe he is below the age limit for this site (mentally, if not physically)
btw - Good Morning Mal!
Hugs, Alex x
Do you think marks should also be deducted for spelling mistakes? It is incredible the number of variations in the spelling of words such as accomodate and discretion!! I should also like to point out that some of my best friends are women over 40!
Well, as this is only my second post…I figure I have another three to work with in order to get myself on the list!!!!!!
Any requests?????
Lol
xxxxx
oi!!!!!!! i will have you know i can do "muppet" very well when i put my mind to it!!!!!!! heheheheheheheheheehehehehehehehh
look!! you have wasted another of my posts..... now i only have 2 left to get it right!!!! sigh
What is the value of this? We all know that the fools come and the fools go, they at least provide a giggle, but I cannot understand any mileage in a name and shame policy...it's a joke!
For one, I believe any thread like this, and a sticky at that, is bound to do us as a swinging community more harm than good. Already tarred as sad individuals, abused in our past, need help and counselling etc etc according to the gutter press, now we are to come over as a closed, antagonisitic group that most people better stay away from.
A lot of genuine people will be put off by such a thread and just what the hell will naming and shaming do to the ones named. Nothing, if they are of that ilk, they will continue to post here or elsewhere in the same manner. It probably won't change them!
A while back we raised the subject of some sort of verification system...we were shot down in flames being told it was unworkable and unfair on newbies. That it might develop a name and shame style system and that should not happen. To which we agree..and now this.
This is unfair and I have to say a little childish, we know there are tossers, idiots, whatever you want to call them, but we thought they were dealt with through the Mods system. We have had our fair share and although it can be annoying or even upsetting sometimes we feel we all have to accept that this is a free site and therefore anyone can access it and that swinging is not the preserve of a particular class or group..so even the
idiots are gonna try their hand.
Anyone is capable of making a prat out of themselves while getting used to the site, particularly in the forum and we are not so naive as to believe that theren't people who frequent this site that won't take up the single line offers posted in the "Lets meet" section, there are many varied swingers and not all want to acquaint themselves with someone's life story before they have a swing!
This site has a doggers section, how different is that activity compared to the one line merchants expecting a shag just cos its a swingers site? You don't necessarily exchange emails, pics, phone calls when you go dogging, sometimes I guess it just happens and sex with strangers occurs...maybe thats enough info for some people.
Surely there is room for all, if people turn out to be real idiots who abuse the site or its members then the Mods and admin have the necessary powers, this just smacks of superiority complex and is more than off-putting to those who might just be dipping their toes in the swinging pool.
We do not wish to put our names to this as swingers or members of this site. Is this a new site policy? It seems to go against the grain that Mark has established.

Fran and Stu..
The point is berks the like of which this thread holds aloft, actually chase valuable members of Swinging Heaven AWAY!
Most of them have no idea what Swinging is about. They've read a bit about it in The Sun, hit Google and PLAYTIME!! Most if not all would be better off with a prostitute or a dating agency.... or even down the local Spooners.
What we DO want are polite, genuine folks who have a bit of respect and seriously interested in the lifestyle.
Hxx
Sarge I will leave you guessing!!!

I was not trying to be insulting with mine.
The one I refered to was downright insulting to women over 40 and so I thought worth a mention here.
ie when I asked 'what was wrong with women over 40' I got the reply 'they smell' - playground talk.
I would not berate someone for an early crap post normally - often people think they have to act like an idot when they first come in. But with a little coaxing from the regs, they often turn out to be great people.
I think we should be very careful not to judge someone too early. Wait till they have posted a few times and heeded the advice from the regs. If they still persist, then that is the time to name & shame. But we should at least give them the chance.
So let's all be very sensible about this and not start a bandwagon for all and sundry to jump on.
Hi Alex xxxxx (for you)
We know your post was not meant to insult, we do not believe that anyone who has posted a name and shame on here has meant it in that way. We know it has a comic value and it has a function in that someone may think twice before posting a stupid insult like the one you outline.
However, we feel that this is dangerous territory, it won't take these plonkers long to start posting to the thread with imaginary posts and our name, your name or even Mals attached.
It begins the rot, spreads distrust and soon the site is full of suspicion and loses its genuine role. Take for example the idiots in the chatroom who pm you without asking, you ask them not to and within seconds of being warned they are then accusing you or someone else of pm'ing them! If it happens there, we can be sure it will happen here.
Many of the one liners are actually traditional swinging fair. Before the advent of internet swingers sites we had to use contact mags, the ads were 10 or 12 WORDS long if you were lucky and correspondence would then have to develop. No meet for tonight..lol...not with the postal service anyway!!!
Ok, we agree we want to keep the plonkers away, but naming and shaming is dangerous in many ways, we feel. It is so open to abuse. Why all the effort to write the advice sections, for all the work the Mods do etc. etc, lets just have a name and shame section, ..those who didn't attend meets, those who lied to you etc...if it was wrong in the Mods eyes previously, how does that make this right?
This feels too much like the playground, if we aren't adult enough to spot and deal with the idiots on the threads and through the moderation team then what are we saying to those types? We are showing ourselves to be functioning on the same level.
Now, if this thread had been what silly, obnoxious or downright stupid ads have you seen...without naming..then it would have been quite a funny thread.
Can't we just go back to ignoring these plonkers, let the Mods and Admin deal with the real tossers and focus our threads on the positives rather than critcising people whom we have never met, who may, unbeknownst to us, float someones boat?
We find ads where people say that they are a cpl looking to swap pics as very dubious to say the least,
Single bloke, pretending to be a cpl, collecting pics. It's obvious
indeedy!
good job too, live and learn eh?
lp
Chin up Bloke....
I can see your trying to bring a bit of life and humour back to the place and I for one salute you for it
