Why don't you take your laptop so you can log on to SH. You never know it might be raining.
Lucky Corrie!
Co-ordinated separates, a bit of evening glamour, and something warm for cool evenings.
If you're planning on visiting religious sites (churches, etc) at all, don't forget something to cover up with - in some places that can include arms as well as legs.
Have a wonderful time!

Take you where Sarge? Paradise... or another Safe House?

It's got to be a good book. I'm lost on holiday without a good book. Thaing is I haven't come across anything half decent recently. I have put some fairly ancient suggestions on Jezzay's thread on this topic.
Have a good time on holiday - you lucky thing.
Mind you one I enjoyed recently (in a quirky sort of way) was Life of Pi by Yann Martell.
Books. Camera. Books. Film. Books. Music. Books.
A guide book for the place you're visiting. A light fluffy book for the plane. A more serious book for when your brain recovers from the flight. And if you're me, an empty notebook so you can write down ideas for work.
You never know when you're going to see the perfect photo. If you're travelling, you never know if you'll see it again. No camera, instant regrets.
Life without music isn't life.
Another little going away checklist, which is useful (if you're a bloke) is:
Spectacles
Testicles
Vallet and
Vatch
a few years ago myself and 3 other lads went to the states for 2 weeks all 4 of us went with the clothes we were wearing, a tooth brush and a credit card, that was it! It was suggested in a drunken moment a few weeks before we went that it would be a good idea.
One of the lads even put his toothbrush on the check in scales and asked if he could have it as checked in baggage rather then carry on! , the rest of us nearly pi55ed our selves laughing.
i can tell you now though that barclaycard appreciated my minimalist aproach to my holiday!
This is probably the dullest most mundane thing I've said so far on SH but I took a year out last year and travelled, staying in some very strange places at times.
The one thing top of my list for if I do it again? A universal sink plug! I would have killed for one, trying to wash stuff in not a lot of running water. Even smart hotels in some countries have lost them. I once booked into somewhere pricy just so I could have a bath instead of a tepid shower and guess what...?
If you haven't yet gone, Corrie, have a great time. Got a feeling you and I are going to miss SH over the next couple of weeks.
