What was your favorite bedtime read!
hhmmmmm.... favourite bedtime read........
A Midsummer Nights' Dream...... William Shakespeare.
It has all the qualities of a block-buster novel...... several strong characters..... the fact that magic is involved.... scenes of nymphs, fairies and elves all getting absolutely plastered.... the fact that the Queen spends the night with an Ass.... watched over by her husband Oberon and his side-kick Puck.... the four young lovers sleeping in the forest at night, changing partners and then being discovered, all four of them, naked out in the countryside..... discovered by a large group of people..... The fact that Bottom and friends have put together their play for the entertainment of the feudal Lord and his new young Bride on their wedding day..... the fact that the story laughs at the fraililties of human nature where love is concerned.....
Can't beat it for bedtime reading...... never get bored of reading the story.......
