What's the longest time you have...

...gone without having sex with another person?
So what is the longest time you have gone without having sexual intercourse or congress of any kind with another person? Whether by choice or not...
I think I may take the record here (and I don't mean to boast) as I once had to wait nearly eight years between one sexual partner and another.
So how long have you gone without?

im guessing around three months , well since i was 16 i guess, before then well it was very rare i did have sex

Eight years???? :shock: :shock: OMG!! I think my longest was 5 months last year and I thought I was going to go insane!!

Yes well I'm mainly interested in the length of time that has laspsed between partners.
The issue of first time experiences and therefore by implication the length of time between birth and popping ones cherry has been covered in another thread.

I've just done a recount and it's more like nine years (1993-2002) and not out of choice either. And I had a very active sex life before that. I thought I was going insane too - in fact I don't think I've quite recovered loon

It gets easier after the first five years though.

HHHHmmmmmmmm about 6 months,i was in Belize in the 80` locals were rather unsafe so i abstained.

Yes there was a different climate towards sex in the late 80s and into the 90s due to the hiv/aids scare being present in everyones minds. I think people were generally cautious back then and I noticed a sharp fall in peoples behaviour regarding casual sex. I still think people were uncertain about the transmission of the virus and did not trust the safe sex advice they were given or they thought they had just better refrain. I think this contributed in part to my failure to find sexual partners during that period.
Today the climate appears to have wholly changed, especially amongst the younger generation some of whom appear to have a cavalier attititude towards unprotected sex.

See it's not that uncommon to go without for long periods of time. Any advance on six years anybody...?

OK.
If we're talking about time spent between sexual partners, then that's about 2.5 years and rising.
If we're talking about time from puberty to my first sexual encounter, that's about 14 years.
If we're talking about the longest amount of my life without sex, regardless of timeframe/partners, that would be 26 years.
