So I was hanging around in the County mall today and saw one of those new revive juice bar franchises. I spotted they did Wheatgrass shots. Being the inquisitive type I thought, hey ho lets give it a go.
If youve not tried it then let me describe what its like.
Its dark green and tastes like swallowing freshly cut grass cuttings. Your mouth ends up tasting like wet fields and you spend the day burping up the taste of grass and wet lawns.
Well I gave it a go but its not for me . bleuch !
wasn't one of the big advantages of wheatgrass was that one portion (shot) was equal to the five a day fruit/veg quota you need each day????
what will they think of next.
We tried this at Bristol's organic fair and left with a sneaky suspicion that the grass must have also contained a fairly fresh cowpat, so bad was the taste.
Any grassy benefit was soon undone as we then legged it to the nearest organic cider bar
Wow, I have a huge front lawn. I'll mow it and put it through a juicer and sell it at a huge markup.
What a lot of nonsense. To be honest I can't imagine that it has anything in it that you can't get from 'real' food. If it did, it would be on the shelves in Asda.
