When are you passed your sell by date?!

Mike and I eating with a friend, after an enjoyable evening spent together.......Mike says.............
"I want to make the most of all this swinging, before Lucy gets past it all" smile

At the time, we laughed,(so not to cause upset at the time!) but on thinking about it, how dare he, I am only 48, hes 58, and does not think he is too old to be up for this fun!
Some may cringe at the age thing but I relly hope I am having fun for many a year yet!
So the question is.....what age are we past our sell by dates?? :)
Husband has now been suitably punished by the way for saying sell by date!

You are past it when you think you are.
You may not be to everyone taste at sometimes in your life, but you are never past it...until you can no longer get out of bed?

I have retired from meeting, and the reason I give if asked is I am past my sell by date. lol

I am only 44 but feel the time is right for me to stop.
I don't really think I am past my sell by date, but it is something I don't feel I want right now.
I have fond and enjoyable memories I am happy with that.
Age to stop I feel is when you know you don't want to contuine. Doesn't mean you are past your best to me it just means you are off doing other things.
Also something to bare in mind it is said a mans peek is 18-30
A womans is 40-60 so I would say you are just beginning wink

well perving your photos Lucy, you arent anywhere near a sell by date. As for Mike, well its all in the mind old chap.

i am in my early 50.s and dont consider over the hill yet . and could try and keep up ( no pun intended) with the best of them ( well maybe not a 30 year old) redface

But recently I met a couple from here and she was 59 smackbottom

and went at it like a steam hammer , so age naaaaaaaaaaaaaa its all in the mind .
I have a friend ( tony) who is 65 who meets couples of any age and especially younger couples and he can put a lot of youngsters to shame where he gets his stamina from god knows cool

the only time that we shall consider ourselves "past our sell by dates" is when they either cart us off in little white jackets to the nearest loon house or the old pine wood box with oil fired central heating biggrin

Well the do say 'use it, or lose it'. So the best way to avoid hitting a sell by date is to keep doing it.
I reckon that's especially true of any physical aspects. Keep up the flexibility, muscle tone and stamina and the sell by date may be some time AFTER the funeral.:giggle:
