So..... We joined the site in March, which means we've been on here 2 months. We've only had 3 swinging meets, but know what we're doing. Are we still classed as Newbies??
When do you stop being a Newbie???? dunno
Whenever you feel comfortable, guys. Some people never move off the newbie level at all and stand on the edges looking in at everyone enjoying themselves.
So what do we call the next stage of newbieness?
Answers on a postcard please! lol

i joned in the middle of march and have had mumble mumble mumble meets. i think i must still be a newbie too!
i guess it depends on how involved you get into the site, in my two months i have had over 500 posts where as some peeps may have been here for a year and only had 100.
Hmmmm. I post loads as well, i'm on the site practically every day, and like i said earlier, daz and i know what to do now, so we dont class ourselves as newbies really!!
I think your newbidity is on the wane when you get your first unsolicited PM from a reg that doesn't read like a questionnaire or a job application. biggrin
dunno must be some sort of scale that newbieness can be measured on
OK, how about something like this then:
Length of membership in weeks, multiplied by the square root of your post count.
Under 100 = Novice
100 = Up And Coming (Example: Angel Chat)
200 = Familiar Face (WBB)
300 = Feet Under the Table (Gingerjo-lee)
500 = One Of The Gang (rocky horror)
1,000 = Part Of The Furniture (Steve_1)
2,500 = Wise And Respected (KitKat)
5,000 = Community Elder (Jags)
10,000 = Get A Life biggrin (No one yet ;) )

When you stop making sense in your posts, when neilinleeds makes sense, when you think that Sge Bilko really is a Sarge, when all your day consists of is worrying about the posts you have missed on the forum, when you miss people that haven't posted for a while, when you really believe that KinkyLizard is a lizard, and finally when they come to take you away in your nice white wrap around jacket and you scream not to be seperated from your PC.....
That's when you know you have finally stopped being a newbie..... wink :wink:

I will be very happy to let you know how Newbie-ish I reckon you are , it will only take a 3 hour practical and 2 hour written e mail exam.

Hmmmmmmm,
Well, what about if you've had a bit of a break from the forum then? (like me, for example) started to get to know everyone, then wasn't able to post for ages (new business starting up then moving house...not advisable! :shock: ) but was getting to know a few folks and exchange the odd pm, email & text (Hi Blue & Lissa biggrin )
So, am I STILL a newbie? or am I a re-cycled newbie? or maybe a born-again-newbie? (is that like a Born-again-Virgin? i.e. it doesn't matter if you have lost your Virginity, as long as you still have the Box it came in wink )
Any ideas?

....when you post a phrase like that, I think !!
As the site is only just 1 year old, (1 year and 2 days) none of us here are exactly Oldies.
A newbie stops being a newbie the moment they press the "submit" button on their first post. It is nothing to do with time served, posts made, or shags achieved.
It is purely about having the courage to make that first post.
