Well, as MQ says, the average woman is a dress size 16, so looking at it purely mathematically, anyone above the average is big. Indeed, some BBW communities and dating websites say, purely as an non-obligatory guideline, that they welcome women of size 16 or over. But there are no definite or reliable boundaries, and as already said here, plenty of larger women hate the description BBW anyway.

I class BBWs as women size 20 and over with women size 28 and over being classed as SSBBW (super size BBWs). Women size 16-18 are just healthy girls!
