Did anybody have an imaginary friend?
I did, he was called uddbudd and was a tall slim grey being a bit like the modern day innterpretation of an alien being.
my sister "created" him one evening in her room and brought him out to meet me and told me he would follow me everywhere so i could "now stop" following her around.
i couldnt see him at first but after a while he began to appear and i swore blind he was there, i actually used to play snooker with him and convinced myself wholeheartedly that he was real, so real in fact i think he became a better player than me (i think he practised on the sly while i was at school)
anyway did you have an imaginary friend and if so what was his/her name?
Never had an imaginary friend, many who I wish were imaginary, but.....
i seem to remember a Harry Enfield sketch with him and "Lance".... and Lance was saying he'd broken up with his imaginary girlfriend.... and she was "so-so" looking but had a wonky eye... don't think Lances' imaginary girlfriend managed to beat him at snooker though....
i hear she was an excellent snooker player, more by luck than judgement however as she potted balls she never even aimed at
yes there is a lot to be said for having a wonky - eyed girlfriend, a pint lasts her all night cos she's always drinking everybody elses, although i do wish mine wouldn't be so ignorant she never looks at me when she's talking to me and is always staring at other men across the bar hehe rolleyes
I never did, but my 3 year old son , had one for a few weeks called Ben, everytime he went in bathroom he would come out saying Ben was in there under bath fixing it, he would even bend down and have a conversation with him confused but to be honest i think it was just a hint to my bf to get up off his arse and finsh off the bathroom. lol

:laughabove:
I used to have an imaginary dog called Phantom.
I also created an imaginary witch-friend that my sister truly believed lived in the attic :lol2: . The witch used to make spells and so on for my sister to find, which became the talk of all the little kids in the street  . I ended up keeping this going for months til I got bored and I said the witch had gone away to care for her sick aunt who lived on Pendel Hill - she sent the occassional letter though rotflmao .
ah the legendary pendle witch, i had no idea she resided for a time in your loft blue, or was it her neice you had lodging with you?? confused

A deep thinking psychologist may well expound that friendships formed on the internet could indeed be classified as the adult form of the imaginary friend, based as they are upon our 3 dimesional imaginations of an individual formed from the two dimension world of the computer screen, allowing us the freedom to mould the person into an image that suits us and avoid reality challenging and possibly tarnishing that image.
Fucking good job there are no deep thinking psychologists on here!

And in answer to the question of having an imaginary friend yes i did and it was a certain mechanical dog from a certain science fiction program, i had him with me for ages as a child :gagged: loon :loon:........but i was only a icklie boy at the time, in my defence innocent
All of my friends are imaginary, I think it it much better that way.
Are any of YOU real, or just figments of my deranged imagination?
When I was around 4 or 5 I have a freind that I called Johnson, no idea why or where it came from, but he was always around. and got me into loads of trouble.
Some years later I met a nice young lady at a party, I was now 10, she was my first real girlfriend and her surname . yes you got it Johnson.
Nope never had one!! dont know about Mrs goodtimez tho wink
Mr goodtimez
I still have one as well.
I think it get met still to do stupid things (like getting married) (Sorry Jim - didn't mean it)
She's over my shoulder whispering. I think I had better go and sit in darken room on my own. :silly:
I didn't have an imaginary friend but I had an imaginary class that I would sit and teach when I was sitting on the loo (and very bored) redface
(I can't believe I just told you that LoL lol )
i dont know if this qualifies, but my imaginery friend was Gabriella Sabatini the tennis player, who loved me and did rude things to me at night
Although not an imaginery person, she wasnt really my friend, so i think it counts.
but i've had a few drunken arguments about whether its allowed???
Oh - and i was 22 at the time lol
further to my original thread, Rach had two imaginary friends in her old house called mib and Andy, when she was about 2 or 3. she used to talk to them and have tea parties with them untill she moved house and never spoke of them again.......
spooky......
or it could just be the fact that she is certified as insane with an acute anxiety, and multiple - personality disorder. lol
I had 2 imaginary friends one a mouse called Timotei (yes after the shampoo) and a dog called Blue that was a sheepdog but was blue in colour. They never beat me in snooker tho!!!!!
biggrin
I dont talk to them any more but I was at a psychic fair with a friend and the psychic turned to me and said that my guardian dog Blue was still with me. That freaked me out a bit!!
