i'm keen to see how other sites work. i'm about to sign up, is there any advice out there,

Don't be so silly as to flash your credit card at anyone. This game is rife with folks trying to earn a buck from swinging - why do you think Mark set up the site in the first place? Because he was sick of getting exploited.

The adverts on adultfriendfinder actually tend to be slightly better-written than the ones on this site (in my experience). OTOH, you've got no chance of actually making contact with the people behind the ads, and it is a lot of money for a little literary excitement.
As an aside, I used to find the geographical search feature on adultfriendfinder incredibly crappy. I'd set it to fiind people with 30 miles of my home... this apparently includes places like Leeds, Glasgow and London, but not Coventry or Worcester! :shock:

i'm on the free section of adultfrendfinder, i've had several acceptances to the invites to be a frend 'i think thats how it.s termed' but it seems that unless i pays my money i've no way of contacting them.
is the site legit or is the initial payment just the first of many financial obsticals.

I had some luck with (part of AFF) as part of a couple, found another couple that we met up with for a drink, and a couple of sexy bi girls online which my then GF had some chat fun with. So, I can testify that it IS genuine.
As a newly single guy (I don't the term single male / female, far too clinical - it doesn't even specify species!) , I was wondering the same thing meself - whether to go back to AFF. However, given the prominence of the site, I have a feeling that the guys to girls/couple ratio would be so appallingly high that it would all be a horrendous waste of time and money that could be usefully invested elsewhere.
I guess a useful thing to do would be to look through the men for women ads to see what the competition's like, but I really can't be bothered at the moment

I was on adultfriendfinder until about April. It is legit, from the point of view that if you purchase a "silver" or "gold" membership you can contact people. (Well, you can send messages through the AFF system. Some of them may even arrive at their destination.) AFF get a chocolate button for actually having this information accessible before you join, then lose it by burying the information in the depths of their help system, and not including the prices of the different membership levels. BAD WEBSITE!
Personally, I'd say whether you join or not depends on whether you can think of anything better to do with $30 a month. I can.
what you find on this site is only what you will see on a pay site and to be honest i wouldnt want to go anywhere else even if it was free.

My thoughts entirely.
When I first took an interest in swinging, I joined several other sites and I haven't bothered with the others at all. Partly because they soon started asking for money and partly because everything I want is here.
Don't pay to play!
