How much is people's choice of swinging partner about looks and how much is about attitude?
I am guessing we would all like to think it is attitude....but occasionally get swayed....

for me is has always been personality over looks...... personality will always keep you there and always interested.......

oh in that case i guess it depends where it is, if chatting on here and doing private meets i guess personality counts, in clubs i tend to go more for look cause lets face it theres not much chatting goes on anyway in a room full of naked people lol
I would have to say that it's personality mostly...
I prefer to be able to talk with the person, be able to have some sort of understanding, then everything is more relaxed and fun :P ..plus it makes it easier down line if you don't want to do anything or you do
Saying that,,,,I have to attracted to them in some way physically, but a nice smile and eyes usually does it for me :P (nice legs and bum wouldn't go a miss mind :twisted: , but not essential)

:lol2: i agree with steph about the guys in clubs they do seem to think that a naked women on a bed playing if a free for all, but altho yes we are swingers, yes we are up for sex, yes we do want fun and pleasure that does not mean by anyone who fancies sticking their cocks in our gob as they walk by 
A mix of both, and in differeent quantities depending on the person and the circumstances.

there has to be a spark ...as such.....that spark however can be decidedly difficult to pin to 1 or the other attributes.....
as far as i am concerned it has been more beneficial to meet a partner first....the personality and likelyhood of any further contact can be ascertained better that way ......

I guess for us it's personality as that is what shines through on a site like this ... ok people have pictures up but the rest is dwn thte the person, and to use the "clique" term, you are drawn to people you find most like yourself, get chatting and it goes from there.
I guess once personality has me hooked, then a picture of the person or meeting them at a munch builds to that and we take it from there ... we don't have an ad as such, we do use our www page to interest people though.

I'm going to go against the grain of this thread and admit to being influenced by looks. (Shock, horror!)
It's not the only thing that influences me of course, and it's not my primary concern, but I can't get turned on by someone I don't find physically attractive no matter how much I like them as a person.
On the other hand, I can't raise any enthusiasm for someone I don't like no matter how good looking they are, so it's a combination of these, and other factors for me.
For example, I have no desire to play with anyone I don't consider a good friend: I fully understand the thrill people get from getting it on with strangers, but that kind of trust doesn't come easily to me personally. I need to feel respect for whoever I'm playing with and to feel that I am respected... a participant rather than an accessory, and I can only be confident of that through the development of genuine friendships which will continue regardless of the sex.
As we often say on here, each to their own... that's what works for me.

I agree. Personality is always preferable to looks, but there must be some level of attraction otherwise it just makes the whole thing more difficult, especially if your view of their personality changes for some reason.
