You can hide your online status in your forum settings. Probably that's the reason for some of them

I did have my online status as hidden but have since changed it back, when hidden it doesn't show your name at the top of the forum page but on your profile it says that you're browsing the forum or in your mailbox etc so kind of defeats the object of hiding your status really (I did log on with a different window to check this confused )

I *think* its a glitch
I always use the 'hide your online status' option (super stealth ninja mode) as all it actually does (i think lol ) is hide my name from the 'members online now' list at the bottom of the Cafe homepage and therefore stops any one-line brigaders from simply clicking on it and sending a crappy pm. If I'm online/ in my mailbox/browsng phto ads it says so in my profile anyway, regardless of wether I show up on the 'who's online' list....
i know it does defeat the object a little - but it is effective at cutting down the off-chance 'ooo there's a name i'll click it' pm's wink
