Im a bit of a newbie to all this, but what really does make me laugh is why the word for a social meet "munch" is it just me that thinks this sounds a bit cheesy. Also can anyone tell me why its called a munch.
Thx

I do believe the word "munch" in relation to vanilla meets of the type popular now on SH orginated on the S/M scene where people arrange day time vanilla meets, drinks etc to introduce new or curious people into the scene. The word "munch" is a cross between "meet " and "lunch".
That might not be true, but it might be.... who knows

Same reason 'lunch' is called 'lunch' or 'motor car' is called 'motor car'.

I knew you would know MN. I knew I had read that somewhere but could not find the bloody link.
I also think that BDSMers just love using jargon - they can't resist using terminology that vanilla's will not understand.
