We need men to manipulate us and tell us half truths about things we won't like hearing.
We need men to make us feel like s*te and then kinda make us feel like it's our fault because we were too busy watching the soaps or chattering on the telephone to listen to them rolleyes
We need men to make sure that any plans you amke are ruined completely because they have made commitments elsewhere to something that is obviously far more important than seeing each other. In most men this is known as "watching the match"
Yeah, I need a man like a fish needs a bike

Well, the salmon for one has a very interesting life-cycle. Does that count?
Mike.
Don't need a man. But sometimes (a lot of the time - just not today) I want one.
Call me a glutton for punishment.
The only thing that counts about Salmon Mike is that it is not on my plate! lol
Men may run out of steam eventually, but thats better than a Rabbit that doesn't work because the batteries are flat especially when all the shops are closed.. lol
Plus a Rabbit cannot kiss, lick or suck breasts, give head, caress your body, or wind you down afterwards.

Girls can do all that Harry, and some of them can do it much better than a guy can!
We really don't need men apart from for procreational reasons.

I don't want one today either.
I would rather have a pilchard on a moped.

How about a skate on a skateboard? Or a flounder on a honda? rolleyes

Men are good for one thing. And half the time they cant even get that right....however, in agreement with a few others...I would not want to be without them. My life as a lesbian has proven that to me.
Having one living in my house is another story. Give me a puppy any day.

is that actually legal??? rolleyes

I know, how gorgeous is he??? The only man I've ever actually been able to cope being around 24/7 without having the urge to strangle him

ouch sad :(
I have had more than a lifetime worth of experience at the hands of a bastard ... not all women like that sort of challenge :(
What are men good for .... personally .. there's just no comparison .. that wonderful musky smell, the protective arms, the tenderest of kisses, the stroke on the face with his hand, chivalry and being treated like a queen ....
sorry ladies but men definitely have the edge there ....
I like women but I love men more (especially one particular one)

Thanks for all of the fun banter, sexist gags general man-bashing and innuendo's guys. I have enjoyed it immensly. lol
However, I still don't have many reasons to send to the ladies that brought this up in the first place and am frankly quite appalled that between us we could not think of more. rolleyes  ....perhaps the point is that women don't NEED men to provide most of the things that they require, but most do WANT men in their lives.
However, i did notice that not one of the ladies fessed up to being able to tell their left from their right, throw a ball a long way or build an MFI wardrobe.
Thanks all, and if you think of any more keep 'em coming!.

My left hand is the one that makes the L form from my finger and thumb, I can understand and play cricket (so really can throw a ball and throw stones and hit men too redface ) and I can assemble Ikea furniture which is like MFI .... I can also understand the mechanics of a motorbike, and strip and rebuild and engine ... I know which end to put oil in the engine and fuel in the tank, I can change my own tyre and I understand the offside rule ...
Is that good enough???
I need a man ... unfortunately he's not here right now sad

c'mon Danny, NO-ONE can build an MFI wardrobe! It is a well known fact that all things from MFI are meant to last approximately until the second after the guarentee runs out a year later! lol
I think you are right. I don't NEED a man, but I very much enjoy being with men, spending time with them, his smell, the way he holds me close to him and breathes my hair when we cuddle, the way his arms envelop and protect me and make me feel warm, safe and loved. Those soft kisses and knowing glances, the way he'll stare at you at the strangest of moments just because he can, taking in every single detail and getting lost in your eyes.
Ahhh, the nice ones are the best ones. The ones you can trust to be reliable and considerate. The one who you know can be there for you at your darkest times and make them illuminate with joy. Yeah....... men have some attractions. biggrin

Gem. x - feeling all sentimental and mussy now.

I went through a stage where I really didnt want a man in my life complicating things as they do, but got to agree with u Gem there is nothing quite like it when he wraps me in his arms & makes me feel safe & protected, I'm not a wuss & can look after myself in most situations but that is such a special feeling wink
No offence Vix but most men can ride a bike better than a woman & i know he rides his different when I'm on the back
You know, this is what is wrong with our world. Women are far too preoccupied with being equal or superior to men that they have reduced men to females. My old job brought me in contact with lots of people and when you sit down and talk to the men they all confess up in the end they feel they cannot compete, hence they retreat into a passive/submissive state and let the women have run of the house.
Come on people! What happened to good old fashioned respect for each other? Why this battle of the sexes that leads nowhere but to self destruction?
I have worked with men who were passive/submissive but when asked if I would want one of them in my life the answer is definitely NO. I for one enjoy being a woman with all my failings and all my gifts. I want to be weak and protected and take no offence in a man helping me put on my coat, opening doors for me and standing up for me if someone offends me. I am who I am and have nothing to prove, no axe to grind by reducing men to nothing. And if a guy wants to hang out with his mates and talk sex and football, so be it. I know at the end of the night he'll still crawl into our bed and seek my arms.
Nicely put Tania and some serious points raised, the interesting thing you bring up on Males becoming passive in some cases, is simple a reflection on the general dynamic of a typical old school relationship where one person brings the Bacon home and the other is the passive receiver.
Only in this case it's flipped M/F to F/M and without the typical Social groupings that enforce the stereotype of relationships, Males will have a hard time dealing with being the passive one.
However.. you're right, at the end of the day we still need to answer to the Sex demon and will always come back to the bed at night..
Is it too early for this?
