I hardly reply to any messages I get why cos people just dont read my profile. Theres a bit at the bottom of my profile which says "And finally if you get down to this part of my profile and want to send me a message then please put "pineapple" in the subject section of the message, why cos I then know you have bothered to read my profile. Any message without this or you dont match what I am looking for or winks will just be deleted". Need I say more lol.

I used to have something similar in mine Soul-girl but apparently it's seen as 'controlling' when of course it isn't :P It was in there for the exact same reasons as yours so that you can tell if people actually bother to read it smile

I've taken mine out for a bit whilst I think of a nice new word biggrin

IN EDIT: If it isn't controlling then what is it and what are you trying to achieve by it? dunno

Suggestions for new words may include:
- Patronising
- Boring
- Fruit cake
Just my opinion and as you said on the book thread, we are all entitled to it ;)

We're the same as a couple of others here in that, our profile clearly states we're not looking for new people right now. We have people we "work with" lol and we're not looking to expand on that right now. If someone still thinks it's OK to mail us, when we said we're not looking, then thats their own luck out to be honest.
Occasionally we'll get a nicely composed mail which we'll take the time to reply to, but usually it's along the lines of "i'm in the area tonight, fancy a fuck"? Of course we're not going to reply to that! Glad we're convenient for you, but you've given us no reason at all there to make us think you'd change our minds from what we've already said, we're not looking!

Don't personalise it please Varca, I quoted both of you and mean't the style of ANY profile in that vane could be described by the three new words I'd suggested - i.e. as opposed to the word 'controlling' that I used earlier.
For example, when I read a profile like that I think the person writing it might be:
a) Patronising
b) Boring
c) A fruit cake
I wasn't referring to you personally or your profile or the new 'password' you should use for that matter. But if you feel the cap fits and it was personal, be my guest.
I don't even know you so why the feck would I be and how could I be commenting on you personally? dunno

And thanks, I know the AUP inside out and if I'd broken it would be the first to admit it... lol

There seems to have been a development in the theory of replying to mails, since i last attempted to do so.
I was happy with the reasoning that people didn't reply to you because they decided you were a smelly, ugly, boring cunt.

And as for your word suggestions, they could be taken as being abusive (definition: offensive and insulting) and I could make a complaint as per the AUP but I really can't be bothered biggrin

Yes I am a fruit cake, anyone that knows me knows I am. Getting 30+ messages a day from people outsided of what I am looking for who havent read my profile just proves that 90% of people on this site are chancers and dont bother to read profile. I know a few people who also have similar to what I have on their profile most of them couples so theres a few of us fruit cakes on here.

yes fair enough if you put something specific on your ad then i wouldnt expect anyone to mail you and if they did, wouldnt expect you to reply! (i ONLY EVER send proper messages by the way)

The profile is there to give people a little bit of information....It is not an invitation to mail us !!!
If you mail people out of the blue and receive no reply, move on ...they`re not interested.

Being realistic, you have a profile on a swingers site that in its self is an invitation for people to mail you. Unless of course it directly says dont mail us. Profiles can be searched as well as adverts so there is in a sense no need for an advert. Profiles say, looking for or interested in so thats an invitation for mail. If you have anal on your profile and someone pops by it who likes anal why be surprised if they mail you.

I agree with you smooth, it doesn't take much to pen a simple no thanks, unfortunatley there are a lot of rude and ignorant people on here, if some find mails to be uninvited then they should put it on their profile that they do not wish to recieve them!!
