why is it when I have lots of spare time that nothing happens, yet as soon as I'm back at work people want to meet etc. is it just me that this happens to, am I out of step with the rest of the world? or do others share this frustration? confused

male looking for fun when i'm off duty! biggrin :D :D
a truely true observation
whenever youve got time on your hands its dead and when your busy the offers flood in doh
glad I'm not alone then lol sods law--toooo right! rolleyes guess I will have to look forward to my next available time off 13th-19th 0ct and hope that optimism conspires with fate to make up for a very boring few day's that I have just had

I think it's just that when you're busy with work or whatever, you don't have the time to be thinking of anything else. dunno
Sod's Law is a definite fact of life though and, in keeping with the nature of the beast, will strike when you have time on your hands.
its sooo sad but you're so right Eagerslut, still ever hopefull though!!! biggrin :D :D

Why was it that the first five weeks of the summer holidays dragged and then the last week went really fast when you had found things to do??
Better forward planning can fill up your down time with fun things todo... and also prevent the fun things from occuring when you are at work (assuming its easy to get time off from work).
But yeh everything always happens at the same time... its just a product of trying to do too much all at once

Why is it that when you've had a bad night and tossed and turned half the night, just before it's time to get up you start to drift off into a lovely deep slumber?
smile :)
There is a simple solution to the work/busy time. Flexitime. Obviously dependant on your line of work but great for those last minute plans. work a bit play a bit worka bit more have the next day off catch up saturday morning, It works for me.

Flexi don't work for me... because I am naughty and am forever playing catchup!!! but in principle its great for all those times you need to nip out... or stay in work late!
i dont have flexi time-- sad :( :(
