Ah, well its one of those things.
If she knew from the word go then thats her problem and she was daft to expect him to make major life changes over a fling, then she was expecting far to much.
However if she didnt know then he's obviously a complete arsehole and dosent deserve her. In that case after he drunken blubbing session she should see that and forget him.
Hey it may sound harsh but its true!

Indeed.
She came back in one day and thanked people and apologised but I wasn't there unfortunately. So couldn't ask for an update.
And theres a story to her coming in and that but I won't tell it, ranted a bit on it all ready to enough people.

You say she's intelligent, and yet you doubt the application of her intelligence, suggesting she is incapable of appropriately selecting her partner?
Whether intelligent or whether not, there are countless reasons she would do what she did. You could talk to her right through Friday night, have her agreeing how blind she was being, and she may well go right back to him the next night. He may make her feel like no-one else can, and there's precious little intelligence will walk anyone away from that.
It sounds like you did what she needed at that moment, listen - well done for that. Other than that, it'll work itself out. Maybe he'll leave and she'll be happy. Maybe he won't and she'll be older, wiser, and with a lot of emotion, positive and negative, along the way.

yeah, its not doubting her intellignece although it is a bit. Its more like she could have had anyone she wanted but she got this guy, you know??
I hope things did turn out ok for her.
Guess it bums me that I'm a nice single guy who can't find anyone while people who have some1 already aren't satisfied and take others you know.
