A member of my family is in the middle of Chemotherapy, ( oh and im not bothered if ive spelled it wrong either ) after having breast cancer. Due to hair loss, she wears scarves in and around the house and for shopping ect, including a fringe now and then with the scarf, which those in the know will know what im talking about, also she does have a wig for more formal ocasions which is very life like and you wouldnt know the difference unless you knew about her recovery.
I understand why women feel the need for wigs and hair pieces, for what ever reason that they want them, medical or fasion ect, and please dont think im generalising the need or situation.
However MEN that wear them, i am sorry, i dont just get it. ok hair loss to some men must be hairendoes, ahem, but for gods sake ive never seen a male wig / hair piece that looks anything other than plain silly, and im not talking a theatrical hair piece, the likes of the ones that scotts fella who used to play bond used to wear and many more.
I dont mean to upset any male members out there who own and wear them but i do think that they just draw more attention to there plight than just being O natural.
VV u assume from you post that u actually know when a male is wearing a hair piece........
The fact is that many wear 'good' ones and you would never know that they are wearing them.
In the same way that womens hair pieces can be good or bad so can mens.........the good one's are brilliant and you cant tell the difference............the bad ones yes are awful........
A friend of a friend had cancer and lost all her hair undergoing treatment. She bought some face paints and painted her head, a globe, flowers, a face on the back, she thought it was great.
Not really seen any male hair peices up close but my pet hate is the comb over. One word springs to mind. WHY?

I did sit and watch a programme a few weeks ago and it was obvious that hair loss for some men is a real issue that they simply can't deal with so resort to anything and everything to disguise it. I struggle to understand that cos I've got no hair, havn't had for 25 year and couldn't give a hoot, but from what I was watching it clearly troubles some guys so much that they have to go buy a wig or have surgery. I guess there are good uns out there and because they are good we don't see em, leaving us with just the hampster pelts to spot.
Guilty as charged definatly wearing a wig (or two) know what your saying tho had a friend who was bald ,or near for the last 10 yrs ,bought a hairpiece only wore it once because everyone took the pi** and to be honest he looked much better bald
Hey dont get me wrong, i certainly dont have a problem if some fella chooses to wear one, like S Connery, in the Bond films, very few people new that was a wig (theatrical), he certainly got away with it, and you do have to admire someone like a Wogan who really cant give a #### because that ones obvious, what really prompted me was i sat near a guy at the theatre last night, now i do know him, and hes got a fair few bob to say the least and to be honest he just looks.. well you know what i mean its just so damn obvious, a comical side parting thing stuck there. But hey just thought id gage what people thought.
Hey just for a giggle, can you imagine if you got into meeting which led to a compromising fun situation and............. nope best not go there.
I am guessing that you think that the wigs you notice are all the wigs you see. Have you seen wigs that you have not noticed as such? You do not know do you? Take another look at your data.
