Will I ever succeed?

I spotted Freckled birds sig............
"If you listen carefully and speak wisely, you will succeed"
earlier and have been wondering to meself if it is true confused

:

Coz im praying its not because I have this nack of never managing to listen quite carefully enough :undecided: :doh: redface

As for speaking wisely,your having a laugh :!: Ive never managed it in me life rolleyes

So what I wanna know is if you live life by these kind of rules,do you actually succeed :dunno: Or am I destined for a life of always feeling unfulfilled? :dunno:
(In other words,am I buggered????)

in a word clare...no, your not buggered.
just be honest and open with yourself, dont try to be something your not, and live life to the full.
thats the way i live, and have found that it works for me, although i'm not what you call a success, i'm happy, and thats what counts.

now as it happens Bev ...yes. I've been asking myself a similar question more and more just lately. When I was younger I thought that getting meself a lumpy sized house and few bits of flash metal on the drive, plus enough wonga not to worry about blowing a few quid would be the mark, well thats done and it still isn't enough. Family life is as sound as a pound, the trappings are there, but the sense of fulfillment, of being content with life isn't and I got a sneaky feeling it never will be, which takes me back to Blues point, knowing what success is for you, is key. Problem being that when you reach where you thought it was, it turns out that you were either wrong or it's moved. Analyse it to death, but if we are halfway happy with life then we are probably successfull without realising it. dunno

Im not normally one to get serious but Mr J has me thinking. If success relies on material wealth then Im pretty successfull but it doesnt . I wake up on my own most mornings see to the lads go to work (i know I sold up but they couldnt bare to see me go so Im now working as a consultant) have a pretty exiting job good mates etc.
But once the boys are in bed that time from 10ish to the morning seems I may have to bite the bullet and get on line at home then at least I can chat to you insomniac muppets
