Well
I did climb trees a lot as a child and wore knitted sort of tights (green ones) :shock:
. One day I got tangled in this big tree - my tights got caught and I was left dangling and stuck and my dad had to get me out :cry: :cry: . I was told "never do that again" - 
:lol: Now I listened and to be honest I wish I hadnt as I stopped being quite as daring ..........

I can't remember what I did wrong many many years ago (probably wasn't very daring though) but I was sent to bed early so I couldnt watch Top of the Pops :cry:

and Thankyou wenchy yes i just kept getting more and more, i didnt want to leave college until the son was in full time school i managed loads in the 4 years then carried on with night classes after i started work, The main qualifications are in catering and management but the rest i got are for keeping my options open
For the first time in 10 years my mam said she was proud of me at christmas. It kinda put the icing on the cake

It reminds me of when I was on an Access to HE course a few years ago. I called into a local Adult Ed office for something unrelated.
It was recruitment time, and the place was completely emblazoned with the new posters, prospectuses(?) leaflets etc. On the front cover of everything was a pic of a girl I was friendly with from my course. I mentioned to the person I was with that ".....it was like a shrine to *******" jokingly.
The counter staff heard me, and started going off on one- being incredibly snotty- and one of them said " I don't know what she has to do with education, apparently, she's a waitress!"
I let rip with both barrels- pointing out that yes, she was a waitress. She was also a single mum, doing a full time college course and a G.C.S.E in the evenings in the hope of better prospects for herself and her three year old.
