Remember when you were a kid, and you did something daring
and your parents said do that again and...............
Well did that threat make you more determined or frighten you off....were you the one that gave in to that bowl of choc-chip -ice-cream, or did you sit there calmly watching it slowly melt in order to prove a point 8)
Go on how tough were ya!
Well
I did climb trees a lot as a child and wore knitted sort of tights (green ones) redface . One day I got tangled in this big tree - my tights got caught and I was left dangling and stuck and my dad had to get me out   . I was told "never do that again" - lol  Now I listened and to be honest I wish I hadnt as I stopped being quite as daring ..........
:lol2:
Nice one Mr.
i think i've always been anti authority from the day i was born, the more i'm 'TOLD' not to do something, the more i'll do it. and you know what, the older i get the more i realise it's the only way to be
Nil illegitimi carborundum
and before some sad git points it out, i know the above quote is a misnomer rolleyes

You have a real thing for these illegitimate cardboard babies dontcha Pete?
I think you'll find most people here are at least a little rebellious. Swinging isn't exactly the "done" thing is it?
I can't remember what I did wrong many many years ago (probably wasn't very daring though) but I was sent to bed early so I couldnt watch Top of the Pops
Anyway as TOTP was about to start my dad came in and said I could get up and watch it .................would I get up and watch it?? Would I hell mad
But all these years later I still remember being so stubborn and missing TOTP

It reminds me of when I was on an Access to HE course a few years ago. I called into a local Adult Ed office for something unrelated.
It was recruitment time, and the place was completely emblazoned with the new posters, prospectuses(?) leaflets etc. On the front cover of everything was a pic of a girl I was friendly with from my course. I mentioned to the person I was with that ".....it was like a shrine to *******" jokingly.
The counter staff heard me, and started going off on one- being incredibly snotty- and one of them said " I don't know what she has to do with education, apparently, she's a waitress!"
I let rip with both barrels- pointing out that yes, she was a waitress. She was also a single mum, doing a full time college course and a G.C.S.E in the evenings in the hope of better prospects for herself and her three year old.
The bolshy old cow shut up :!:
