There are a couple of things I notice. One is that people with similar language abilities get along quite happily to each other.
The other is that whenever a debate starts to develop there is a marked escalation in the use of language. With people looking for dictionary definitions, and turning in into mini authors and the like. Showing that there are some hidden passions and talents out there. Great stuff.
