I just cant understand why so many single men are putting there ad under the heading of "women seeking men" arrrrrr so frustrating..... its not rocket science.
moan over
Evening
I have every faith in you guys, its the silly buggers who dont read that gets my back up lol
keep up the good work
Some people might think "women seeking men" actually means "women-seeking men", as in men who seek women. It's an easy mistake to make, I'm sure.

It is a pain and it needs to be sorted, its very frustraing for the mods and not nice for peeps looking through the ads for women seeking men and finding men seeking women.
So as part of the site change the pre-requsites requirements are to be a;
Couple, Man, Woman
And in writing that we may have to put in something else to cover TS but I'm open to ideas.
So it may help if those that are men/male only have options to post in men seeking, those that are female have options to post in women seeking and couples have options to post in couples seeking, plus dogging/holidays etc for all.
Agreed, this is an idea I've been touting since the revamp. It won't cure the problem of people pretending to be female, but it will help with the flood of misplaced adverts.
While on the subject of the photo ads, given that we have a large influx of people writing incomprehensible single line adverts that are unlikely to be of any interest to most viewers, how about adding a facility to remove ads less than (say) 500 characters long from search results? I think this would greatly improves the photo ad section's usability.
I think it's because there's so many men seeking women on the site that it's a waste of time posting. Forgive me if I'm generalising, but as I see it, a lot of women prefer to post their own add, then go through their responses, knowing who is willing to travel to them, accommodate, or live locally, rather than trawl through the hundreds of male adds in the hope of finding someone conveniently located and fitting the bill. Much as it annoys me when men post on the women seeking men section, I can understand how frustrating it must be knowing that when a woman posts an add in her category she's likely to get 10's or hundreds of replies, and when a man posts he may not get any (haven't personally posted an add, so just going from friends experiences).
Why not just cut and paste this reply, and send it to any man posting for sex in Women Seeking Men:
"Hi, you have posted an advert in the women seeking men section of Swinging Heaven. Can I just clarify, are you a woman, and are you seeking to have sex with a man? If not, you are in the wrong section."
Nice and polite and should send them hotfoot to go and sort it out for themselves!
But please note - anyone who sends the following (or anything remotely similar):
"You fucking nob head, you are in the wrong fucking section"
Is breaching the AUP and will be banned. cool

Which is exactly why one liner ads are useless, the search function (when it's working) is pretty handy for picking out keywords! There are probably quite a few women who never advertise because they know what their inbox is going to look like

Because half of them put it in the wrong section - we're not going to look in a section for women who are seeking men are we? or is this some kind of weird blokey reverse psychology? lol
Serendipity... I agree - I've also noticed a few gay blokes that post in the 'women seeking men' section, I think in the hope that they'll lure a straight guy to his dark side wink
By the way - I've always found your avatar remarkably sexy.... should Mr Bloke be worried? confused :P

I have an issue with this. I am a single guy, however i do ocationly get single females who i swing with. I also have regular swinging partners. We might decide to look for a couple....
If the new system was introduced we would be able to...........

The idea is that the drop down menu for which category you post in would have all the options for that... but none of the ones that start "Women seeking...". Women wouldn't have any of the ones that start "Men Seeking..." either.
As I started this debate maybe I should take ownership ???
I too work in IT etc etc , I dont think its got anything to do with reverse physicology or anything remotely relating or interesting.... it comes down to one fundemetal rule... you guys build a great site and so many brainless peeps dont apreciate or take time to read / understand the intricate workings.
maybe headings such as the following should be used
q1 are you a bloke.....take ur time.......ok........u are...click here then
q2 are you sure you have got question 1 correct
q3 are you double sure
ok ok maybe not lol

We thought adding;
I am a ###### looking for a ######
would help so we will try that first and if men/women/couiples/TV/TS still post in the wrong place then they obviously haven't botherd to look at the options and have no right to moan if ads get deleted.

If you look at the standard of the male adverts that are flooding the "women seeking men" section, I think you'll see exactly how inept the people we are dealing with are! I've spent the bast part of the last half hour reporting these ads to the mods, who will spend longer sorting them out... the issue here is not that they can moan if they get deleted, but that the manpower required from the long-suffering ops to delete them all is overwhelming. If a simple filter was implemented server-side it would save literally hours of work per day.
mate i can understand but are we botherd??????

sounds a good idea St3v3
or
just send them a mesage saying
your add is in the wrong section
just done that with 10 and got messages from 5 back saying thanks
easy sorted
There always was a section of men who don't seem to be able to read but since the site changes it does seem to have increased exponentially (I think I saw at least 6 on page 1)
The daft thing is you don't seem to see any women misplacing ads rolleyes
Well after catching up with this debate, I am glad to add a lighter note that there seems to be no problem with the womens adverts
I think it has something to do with reading instructions which we all know men have a bad enough time wiith the loo seat let alone a web site lol
lol
