Hi people yesterday I was in the chat room and a lady who I think is great and fun (no I have not had the privilege of meeting her) was getting a bit of stick from a single guy and I thought from a couple, the reason being she did not want to meet a particular guy for (yes you guessed it) and this did not go down to well :shock: . So I am just wondering is it Still expected by a small minority of men and yes I am using the small bit here in the broadest sense, that as your male and (gods gift etc.....) you come here and expect every woman here to drop their knickers at the mere mention of your name? If so its no wonder that we as men have such a bad rep do you not think? Give the ladies some respect of please gentlemen.

Indeed, there's no obligation to play at all and that goes for females as well as males. No one has the right to expect others to play. Badgering someone verbally in this way is abusive and she should report them to the mods IMHO. This is not proper behaviour towards someone, whether they be swingers or not.

It's not an expectation, it's a desperate hope of the vast majority of hormonal little boys with not enough homework to do, that if they act arrogant enough the ladies will assume they are adults with loads of experience. Just as a brief unhijack, I think one of the nice things about the regular forum community is how (in general) respectful everyone is of each other.
OK, it goes a little awry at times, but I wonder if any of the journalists who obviously do their 'research' here have noticed this.
I think that SH is an Adult site in more ways than just the obvious one and I hope that this starts to be reflected in any media reporting of an alternative lifestyle.

You are so right - the majority of people in here have a great respect for each other. If only the journalists would look past the sensationalism and see the personalities and their thoughfulness. But I suppose that wouldn't sell papers!
