Oh know its me again with more ideas :silly:
Would it be an idea to have an area in the ad ? ie midlands, south east etc etc ... as then could search for ads from only certain parts of the Country..
Just an idea..
(an no not going to have a poll on it) ... lol
You can already do that. Go to the ads search page and type in "midlands" or "south east" and that's what comes up

Thanks for that smile
But the problem is that only works if the have included the words in the ad.. or am I wrong ?
No you're right, but what's the point of having an ad in the first place if you don't put an area on it? dunno You can put up to 4 keywords to search on, so maybe include more areas for a better result. For instance, if I'm searching I'll generally use "manchester" and "north west" as my search words

Well, most peopledo say what area they are from.

Sorry I know I am getting very picky...
But what if someone says London instead of South East, or S East etc etc
Just thought it would be easier to have maybe some more options on the Ad etc ?
Though maybe I am getting silly... maybe 99% of people are happy with the way it works.
Though I suppose if I do not ask I do not know
blimey you'll want people to state street names next lol
if searching for London ain't good enough for you i give up :lol2:
most people don't mind traveling a bit wink

I agree, there are so many variations on how to describe these parts I end up having to do several searches i.e North East, Tyneside, Tyne and Wear, South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Newcastle area, Gateshead Area.
If there was a restricted number of areas to choose from when submitting an advert it would make the search so much easier

That's a little harsh, I think he has a point, but it needs a little development. My thoughts go along this line.
In the ads and profiles we need the following new sections;
xxx miles from AtomCom as the crow flies.
xxx miles from AtomCom by car.
xxx minutes from AtomCom by public transport.
After that the system will obviously be perfect.
