Hmmmm
If someone has self esteem issues – I think you would be doing them more of a favour by showing them where they went wrong/how to do it better than you would faking it – thus lulling them into a false sense of security.
Seems more of a quick fix really.

Why should you feel sorry for anyone in this situation, at the end of the day people have their reasons and it's their business, why you feel the need to belittle and judge others when they don't match how things in your world is beyond me.

for a long time right up until 3 years ago i couldnt orgasm, i could enjoy sex but just didnt orgasm, now having to tell someone you cant orgasm is embarrassing enough but then they make it their mission to be the one that makes you cum.
a lot also cant understand that you can enjoy sex without an orgasm and take it as a personal sleight on their sexual prowess
so i faked it
1. this didnt make the person i was with feel inadequate as most of the time it was not that at all
and 2
it stopped me from having my bits raggied to death while someone was determined to make me cum
i dont find that bollox or think i am a loser

I do understand what you are trying to say, but it is in the wording you choose, people that fake it for whatever reason do so for their own reasons at the time.
I am fortunate not to have to have done it, and I don't mind speaking up for myself and letting the person know, I do feel some might for many reasons not have the abilty to be able to do that, it is a shame as I see sex should be having the ability to be able to open up and say what you enjoy. Without the other knowing both could be missing out having good sex
