Inspired by Kent's suggestion on the 'befriending criminals' thread... thanks, I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner!
I've got a cool, sexy, single military mate based up this way who is currently stationed in Afghanistan for six months. He spoke to me briefly last week and asked if I could drum up any support in terms of lovely females that would write to him while he's there. This is a serious request from a guy who's missing the UK right now.
I don't know where to advertise for this kind of thing and I have Googled a little so can anyone help please?
Of course, if any female here wants his address, just let me know via PM please.
And yes, he's a site member if any Mod's want his username please just ask. Oh, and he's straight lol He's a cool bloke actually.

The problem would be his ability to read this site out there. I very much doubt, for security reasons, that they would have wi-fi, so wherever he is on t'internet, he is likely to be overlooked. The other problem is that they often have security blackouts for internet and phonecalls to stop information reaching the UK ahead of official sources. This prevents unnecessary worry for relatives who may hear rumours, rather than official sources, about the death or injury of a soldier.
To receive 'snail mail' is an immense boost to morale when serving away from home :-D

If you want to write you can also do it by e-bluey, just like emailing but your letter is printed off at other end and sealed and delivered to recipient just like a normal letter but takes a fraction of the time to send, they can also reply back this way......

I must admit, having been on numerous tours, NOTHING, bar NOTHING perks you up and makes your day, than receiving mail. Even if it's just a bluey full of what's happening back home, and what the weather is like is better than getting nothing. Obviously, if its from a nice girl who can keep not just his morale up, then that's even better!!!!
