Ok. If I still had access to I'd post this there, but as I don't I'm posting it here as a sort of 'hello I am shallow' thingy.
So yeah.
What was I on about again?
Oooh! I know!
I have a hair appointment wednesday. I want to get my hair cut short. Maybe spiky. Maybe I will have it dyed blue or purple or just black - but - yeah.
Short.
Ish.
Shortish.
Thing is, this is a big step for me. My hair is, for want of a better word, knackered. Too many years of backcombing and dye-ing it to within an inch of its life and stuff.
I am scared about this move. I am scared I will end up looking like Philip Schofield or something - I have deliberately not dyed my hair for about 3 months - and this is major as I have changed colours every month since I was about 14 - because I want to get it all chopped off and see what lies beneath....
But I have about 4 different colours in the bathroom waiting for after the deed has been done - thing is... do I want to see what I look like au natural or not? Do I wait until after the cut or just slap some dye on beforehand so I don't have to see if the ravages of time have caught up with me?
I spotted a grey hair the other day - I ripped the bugger out but I know many more lie in wait.
Do I want to see?
I told you I was vain ;)
(for those of you who can't figure me out - yes I am joking... but only half so...)
Get it shaved and paint your head! :giggle:

Like Leigh Bowery? What colour? I have a hankering for pink...
give yourself a chance to look a little different for a while... by looking *normal as it were
the dye can always go on later... or another, more radical cut can be employed if needs be!!
be brave!.. be *normal*
scary innit?
not *quite* the same thing G-P, but back at the tender age of thirty, a couple of life changes had been made, namely, I decided to carry on living...(!!) as a consequence, some changes could be made to my apearance also... I too was feeling brave.
Id had long hair for years up to that point, but bit the bullet... no more bleachie-streak, no more colour... and the scissors came out of the kitchen drawer... (never had the benefit of enough courage to actually visit a barbersxx!!!xxx sorry... hair dressers/salon?...
hmmm...the horror the horror... well, not quite as bad as I thought...
the change to the normal >as i saw it then< was quite a shock... but certainly servivable... almost radical..hehe
a couple of weeks later i went for a full brando/appocolypse look!
that was a bloody bathtime!
so what am I saying here?...errmm...
the haircut, yes...
have it, enjoy it... give it some time to settle in...

As I have a total 'thing' for guys with long hair - no dont do it please!!! I'll beg!!! I'll pay for the deep conditioning treatment!!!
Please don't!!!!
I'll lose all sexual attraction I have for you!!!!
Oh hi btw I'm Redangel!!!
lol!!
Can you not just go shaggy, like the guy from Scooby doo?
Am I talking crap now???
I'll go away!!!
London Plaything - I have tried to look normal before... well... I had a nice plain black rockabilly quiff that could double as a mohawk and that looked OK. And i don't dress in club gear for work or anything but I am sure they think my hair is just naturally an unnatural shade of black occasionally turning purple or crimson...
I am really just joking ut I honestly have not seen my natural colour since I was 14 and the roots I have are not looking good to me - they're kind of browny-blonde with grey sreaks!
I am sort of intrigued but also a little freaked out...
Maybe I just need to go clothes shopping straight after the haircut...
get ahead..... get a hat
lp
Mmmmmm hats.. </homer>
I have seen a nice Mean Angel hat I need, actually...
well im going grey i have no intention of doing anything to it, but thats me thats what im happy with. If you dont like natural then dye it but hey you never know.
I've always had the hots for Brian Molko :inlove:
My very first.. er... odd hairstlyle was a Debbie Harry thing when I was 14. i really wanted a Gary Numan thing with the red stripe but my dad was too strict and I was only 14.. so I got this layered bob and bleached it and he told me I had to change it... so I got the Numan cut with the stripe and he reluctantyly agreed that it wasn't so bad.
My teachers at school were not so keen, but there were no rules against dyed hair or make-up at my all- boys school at the time.
Those rules were in place the next year, funnily enough.
dawnie - do you have to look at everyones pictures to approve them?
That's an awful lot of nob shots you need to OK iif you do.
Tell me - whats the funniest shaped one you have seen? Not that I want you to compromise anyones confidentiality or anything... but whats thier name and address?
(only joking, just in case anyone really thinks I'm not... but really - name that shape...)
i Use to have long hair when i was younger but now i just look like a sad retired action man figure whos eaten to much pies
