1) Legalise Cannabis
2) Legalise prostitution
3) Legislate to make it harder to get married.
4) Legislate to make it easier to get divorced.
5) Put sex/relationship education on the National Curriculum from the day they start school, till the day they leave. Just like literacy & numeracy.
Put map-reading and book-keeping on the curriculum, so be breed a generation who can get from A to B and manage their money to avoid getting into debt.
1: A task force will be set up to go through every government department, QUANGO and government contractor with a remit to find all the unjustifiable positions being held by people. If you cannot justify your job to this task force's satisfaction, you get handed your P45.
2: Political Correctness will be made illegal. Anyone showing even minor PC tendencies will be carted off for re-education. Political Correctness is evil and must be eliminated.
3: The Chunnel will be sealed off, but not before we've put on a special Eurostar train for all the bogus asylum seekers, promising them free, no questions asked entry into the country. Once the train is on the way, we blow explosive charges placed at both ends of the tunnel, sealing the buggers in.
4: The government will compulsory purchase all the telephone exchanges and trunk lines back from BT, forcing them to compete on equal footings with the rest of the telcos. We will also pour large amounts of cash into upgrading our datacomms network, ensuring that every single home and business in the country can have access to cheap and fast internet access.
5: Cannabis and prostitution will be legalised. Licenses to produce cannabis products will be auctioned off to any legitimate companies that put in workable bid proposals, the money raised from these auctions will go towards helping addicts of harder drugs kick the habit, as will the taxes raised from the sale of cannabis products. This will also free police resources to crack down on the dealers peddling the class A drugs, rather than busting every two bit dope dealer who sells the odd bit of weed now and again. Again, with prostitution legalised, it will free up police resources, the industry can be regulated and taxed. The working girls will be safer because they will have to work from licensed, secure brothels.
6: Licensing laws will be brought more in line with those in europe. Our licensing laws date back to WWII and are therefore irrelevant in today's society. Pubs and clubs will be allowed to stay open as long as they deem fit, eventually putting an end to the binge drinking culture we have here in the UK.
7: All male babies will be sterilised at birth and contraception will be mandatory. Couples wanting to have children must apply for a license first, part of the application being both a written and psychological examination to determine their fitness to raise a child. The would-be parent's financial situation would also be assessed to make sure that they could provide for said children. If all goes well, said couple will be given the go ahead to have a child. The pregnancy will be initiated via artificial insemination and the license is good for one child only. Should the couple want a second child, another application needs to be made.

parents more responsible for the behaviour of their offspring. So if little Johnny is caught committing vandelism the parents as well as the child are punished. Make parent reponsibble liable for everythinglitlle Johnny does regardless of his age (up to 18 ) and where he is at the would be made to cover the cost of the crime and payable to the victim. It never ceases to amaze me when parents of vandals turn round a nd say, "Well you cant keep your eye on them all the time, can you?" Well yes actually you can!! We always did.
2. Improve public transprt so that we are not all dependant on cars, and stop the two teir society we have at the moment - those that have cars and those that dont.
3. Stop paying out benefits to the long tem undmployed. Either they take some kind of work or they get out of the country, see if anyone else will keep them. A third option would be for them to do some kind of community work for their benefits eg, hedge trimming , litter collecting etc
off our "special relationship" with the US which so far has cost us an absolute fortune, and many lives.
more money on alternative power sources so that we can stop using non renewable energy sources
I listen to it most days too, you may well have heard me on the phone in.. ive rang in a couple of times and sent a few texts too.. it makes my day go so much quicker
Right
(1) Every young adult age 18 will be given the opportunity to take a percentage of there pension as a cash lump sum (pension amount will be based upon education and grades up to that point taking into account any uni degrees applied for). This will allow all of us to enjoy money at a point in our lives when it can be enjoyed properly.
(2) Scrap inheritance tax - its bloody stupid to have a tax on money which has already had tax paid on it (i.e. income tax, stamp duty (in the case of a house etc etc)
(3) All gatso cameras wil be ritualistically and methodicallly destroyed in a mass cull.
(4) All money gathered by the treasury from road tax, tax on fuel etc etc will be spent on the bloody roads or possbly public transport
(5) Large companies should be forced to link cheif executives bonus's to company profits like evryone else in the organisation.

Hmmm,
Re-strucuture the NHS so that it doesn't screw GP's and therefore improve patient care. I would educate the populus on the futility of asking a doctor about what to do about a cold.
Add the concept of social responisibility to the secondary curriculum. People's lives should not be micro-managed by the government, but people should be aware that smoking, obesity etc. cost society dear.
Ban the management practice and education of management. Personally, I am awed by the techniques employed to produce happy workers...when they are not really happy - but it is a little unnerving
Massively increase investment into public transport and make it a viable alternative to cars - faster, cheaper, and vaguely comfortable. Starting with the evil Nexus in newcastle. "Protecting the Metro's revenue" - scary!
Finally, concentrate on making Europe a force to be reckoned with and distance the UK from the US.
That was fun!
I agree parents of persistant offenders should take responsibilty, which can also mean making a concerted effort to find out what it is which is causing their child to behave so badly. It`s not ALWAYS a lack of parental guidance, but can be many other factors, including unhappiness at school and ADHD to name but a few. As long as the parents are trying to get to the bottom of the problem, and consulting teachers and other professionals then please don`t add to their woes by piling on more pressure via `punishing` them.
I`m one who doesn`t `keep an eye on my kids` all the time, but at 13 and 16, I don`t believe I should (or could for that matter), it`s unhealthy for them. I do like to know where they are, and when they`ll be back however
I knnew someone would have to defend the childs right to creat havoc.
If the child is unhappy at school the parent is reponsible for sorting it out. If the worst comes to the worst it is the parents responability to educate the child themselves!! Teachers are 99% committed and do all they can but if the parent creates an unbearable home situation it is up to them not school or social services to deal with , well again this is often diagnosed to cover up a bad diet or a home situation that is not stable. Im not going to reveal my exact qualifications on here but believe me i am qualified to say this, unfortuately i can only do so whilst annonymous.
I would go as far as to say that if you dont know where your 13 year old is and what he or she is doing you are failing not only the child (think of the safety aspect not if he or she can be trusted) but also putting the rest of society at risk from his behaviour
Some points there foxy, i'm not qualified in this field, but from what I have seen there is as I said a 2 tier system. On the one side, look out for your kids (a good thing), on the other if you try to stop them doing anything you 'bad' and you get arrested.
This a repeat from my other post, but with some more detail. Now I cant get the links but there was a local MP arrested, charged, and convicted for assault. He had held his 14 year old daughters wrists to stop her going out to buy drugs. Now he was a pillar of the community (no doubt we can say he spent too much time becoming one, and not enough with his family) and when he tried to protect his child we (society) arrested him.
The other example is from my own family, not my direct family, but a relative. The daughter got caught up in drugs, the mother after numerous police visits bringing her home and not much working tried to ground her. When she just went out she put a lock on the door to keep her in, social services told her that she couldn't keep her locked in, it violated her 'rights' as a child.
So how would you punish this parent? If they try to get them on a rehab program or keep them away from the dealers they are breaking the law. If they physically stop them, they breaking the law. If the kids go out and wreak havoc the parents breaking the law?
Hope you can sort that one, I cant see a solution. Where the parent does not care maybe you have a case to punish them, where they do care but we tie their hands punishment does not seem appropriate.
Tallnhairy
If the parents dont care then they should have to pay for the child to be looked after by those who will, and no pussy footing around, if the parents cant afford it then they should have to work to pay for the care. It is not the fault of those honest, careing parents who pay taxes to take care of the kids who have the misfortune to have bad parents.
As for the parents who do care, they should be supported but at an early stage before the problem becomes a nuisance to us all
The media always portrays badly behaved children as being from materially poor homes, this is not always the case. I have in my time come across many badly socialised childrens from middle class families, they too should be made to face up to their responabilities
Gets my vote Corriefem, some good concepts there. Do you think we can start the SH party?
1 Anyone convicted of Murdering a child or any member of the emergency services or causingf death by careless or reckless driving shall be sentenced to life without possibilty of Parole.
2 Any cyclist injured in a road accident where they were partially to blame shall automatically have any damages reduced by 45%
3 All politicians shall retire at 70 or after 20 years in Parliament which ever happens first
4 It shal, be a criminal offence punishable with a term of imprisonment of not less than 5 years to use a long tom camera to take a picture without consent.
5 Anyone who is convixted of an offence of dishonesty or supplying drugs shall automatically forfiet any money in any bank account as being the proceeds of crime unless they can prove where it came from.
Think you find No 5 already happens Stokey...
tallnhairy
I do not believe it happens in every case just in some cases. In most cases of dishonesty it does not happen
I really can't think of 5 things (too busy trying to get ready for work).
I would make Domestic Violence an easier crime to report and receive support for (both for males and females). I'd also make it carry higher penalties for conviction.
Well, what I do is for a major review of the Education System & this would make our nation strong & teach young people how to behave.
I would make it the law for everyone to know how to cook this would save the nation millions if not more due to the current issues of bad eating.
Review of Banks & others that give the public money esp. the issues of Interest & debt.
Cut short the amount of teams in the Premier League & spend money to make people understand the game of Football which will make this nation produce quality football.
Make sure that quality Saturday Night Television returns.
