At the risk of sounding samey biggrin

to others in the cafe, post in here and let peeps get to know you abit. Go to socials and munches once you have been seen around a little. Have a go in the chat rooms there's some great folks in there. Basically join in, be patient and have a good time.

Hi and :welcome: to the forum. I dont think that theres tips as such because everyone does things differently, but have a read of a few former threads and chat with a few people in the chatrooms and that will probably give you a better idea of how to move forward.

i'm in the same boat! biggrin

have patience. that's the best advice i got.
basically, don't be expecting anything to happen. just get involved in chats/discussions etc. and the least that can happen is that you meet some fantastic/interesting/weird* new friends.
