Sandy Denny
Karen Matheson
Grace Slick
The late Joe Strummer
Matt
not sure if this counts........ but the guitar playing of steve vai does it for me everytime... the first time I heard 'For The Love of God' i literally cried, but if i must pick a vocalist then i guess Axl Rose, much as he is an egoncentrical prat, his voice is amazing.
Eva Cassidy... strangely I don't own a single recording of hers. Better get that sorted out pronto.
Ted Hawkins, not an overly well known American Blues singer, who used to live and busk in the area I now live in before he was deported back to America, sadly this was before I moved here.
Marlene Dietrich singing in German. Fantastic.
( even weirder, all 3 of them are now dead....)
hi
Morrissey.............
Richard Ashcroft..........
David Gray..........
sophiebifem
Eva Cassidy definately, and the late Kirsty McCall. (not sure if I spelled her name right! sorry)
xx
Kylie.....need i say more
Another  for Kirsty McColl great voice. Both Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie from the latter day Fleetwood Mac. Male voices would have to Van Morrison or Richard Thompson.
Sinnead O`Conner, she sings a song on Moby`s album 18, called Harbour,,WOW!
Thom York of Radiohead too!
I like so much different music, but I think the voice that effects me the most and gives me goosebumps of emotion and sadness is Karen Carpenter. Tragic and beautiful.
Gundula Janowitz
60's opera singer. She sang Cosi Fan tutte in The Shawshank Redemption.
A bit off beat, but she really got her gazongas round Porgi Amor by Mozart.
Madonna is my all time favourite everything, however I also like Eva Cassidy, Nancy Griffiths, Elton John, Darren Hayes from Savage Garden and would have to agree with Bon Jovi too.
The all time sexiest voice ever is Alanah Myles singing Black Velvet!
Damien riceand bono
i know not the name, but the girl who sings for 'lamb' has the most angelic voice. if any one wants to sample it check out a tune called 'my angel gabriel'
another would be (again the name is unknown) the singer with the sundays.
